Overhead temperature gauge/compass light

How does one go about replacing the light on the overhead temperature gauge and compass on a 2006 Tocoma? Are there other common problems with this device other than it being a burned out light that I should also check out?

 

I had my compass dim out too.
i had to re solder a loose resistance. theres a DIY for that

I just did this today on my 06. Took about 5 minutes.

 

Worked like a charm. Thanks much. First time I ever soldered anything other than copper pipe. Kinda wished I had done some research on that before I started. Glad my final product is hidden behind the plastic cover.
