It didn't loosen up if it did you'd have bigger problems. Did you rebuild the rear diff or someone else?

 

Bought another Yota today. It has the most rusted out frame I've ever seen. But super solid drive line and clean interior

 

Someone else in Colorado. Regeared to 4.88 and solid spacer at the time.

 

I replaced the pinion seal and changed diff oil about 10k ago. Put the pinion nut back to the same position.

 

My guess is the preload was off after that thus causing the pinion bearings to go out. I kinda had a feeling it was going to be in the diff when you described it as on accel but not coasting. Take it to ECGS and have them get it straightened out for you.

 

Parting it out too?

 

Hopefully flip to someone that wants the drive line

Seriously, how do you let your frame get to that point?? Were the sellers aware of how bad it was?

 

Did check already if its eligible for a frame recall inspection?
