Hey everyone! So I’m getting to the point where I’m going to start designing and producing products for first gens! Since I’ve owned my first gen there hasn’t been too much out there and what’s out there seems to be dying...

Now I do realize from a business standpoint starting in a “dying market” isn’t a great idea. However... it’s a market I know very well and I own/daily drive one so I know the ins and outs of the truck. I take pride in what I put my name on and I want to make sure what ever I do I know will work and be a great product.

I hope that I can make some products that people will enjoy for along time and maybe after that carry into more markets if I’m lucky enough.

My main focus will be electrical panels, switch panels, molle panels, and other electronic based products.

Now...the reason I made this thread...

I’m hoping this can be a melting pot of ideas and products that people have always wanted for their trucks or thought man that would be cool. I was hoping that we could work as a community and help others like myself who want to keep the aftermarket alive for first gens. Anyways we’ll see how this goes..thanks guys/gals!!

No one does, that's the issue!

I don't want to go with an after-market bumper seeing as how I've turned my off-road toy into a daily driver.

Yeah I get you, I don’t see making the platform an issue to hold a winch since the bumpers we make include a center section for the winch to sit regardless. The issue is not too many people that have winches want to use the stock bumper. I mean basically take the wings and front off a plate bumper and you get what your talking about.

A 4 wheel steering mod should keep you busy since the dead market is not one of your top considerations

Yes, the hidden winch mod. No one offers it and he's suspended production.

Meh, most of the "built" rigs I see around town (bumpers, racks, RTTs, rotopax, etc...) are daily drivers. Probably see off-road 2, maybe 3x a year.

Just find yourself the most expensive bumper you can and daily drive the crap out of it. lol

If you’re into making panels, I’ve always wanted the “dog” panel to level out the back of the extra cab floor so it’s smooth but with little access panels. Saw it on another thread here.

This is absolutely something I’m going to do! I have the same issue with my pup and I want to make a platform that’s collapsible so it’s easy to take in and out

I only made my Tacoma a daily driver as of a month ago; sold one of the Corvettes to CarMax last month since I didn't want to let it sit.

With that being said, I take my truck camping/off-road at least once a week and could benefit from a winch because I'm still a 2wd (4x4 conversion in process, parts gathering). That and I don't want to spend much more than I want for a bumper that hangs out farther up front, and the only benefit being that it can handle having a winch mounted on.

A hidden winch is the perfect solution for me.

I'm not sure if anyone else sells these for the Xtra cabs. I've been trying to look just for the perforated sheets to see if I can make my own for the side windows. Good to organize some stuff on the sides. But if you can come up with an idea how to mount them take my money! Screenshot_20190916-225851.jpg

Monterey County; 40-50 mins south of San Jose. 5-6 hours north of LA.

    Not sure if that helps.

Yeah I’m in LA so Not too far...we’ll when you’re ready...go on Instagram and type in @lampsonfabworks. That’s my fabricator. He’s a cool guy let him know that I sent you and that you wanted a hidden winch mount. Maybe you guys can work out a deal ;)

Maybe that has a Castle nut on the top too, you could probably retire
    Everyone would buy as set.
