    ^This.

Your truck stance/support will be better over time and after about 1200 miles of break in they ride very cush

Year and a half. At the time of those pictures I had them for less than a year and they had seen only one winter. And not a particularly salty winter.

Correct. They look way worse now and they haven’t seen any additional salt. I’m pretty disappointed in how they’ve held up. Really nothing else on my truck is rusted except for my ADS shocks.

Ok, so the groaning when hitting speed bumps still exists. Shop is saying it's my ADS coilover. They said it's either still breaking in (1 year and 10k miles later) or it was defective from the start. Anyone else have this issue?

When hitting a bump, and the coilover is being compressed, I'm getting a very audible groaning sound, like dry rubber rubbing on something.

I got them from @HeadStrong Off-Road less than a year ago.

    Sounds like dry bushings.

Bushings on the coilovers? Where exactly and how best to remedy this?

Bushings in the UCAs. You need to loosen the bolt that runs through the UCAs and grease the zerks with a PTFE lube until it starts to seep out from the bushings. Then tighten them to spec and wipe the excess off.

It doesn’t sound like they’ve been greased so you need to be careful and watch them. If they’re seized it could start to push the bushing out and you may have to completely remove them to fix it.

    Also, find another shop.

Could it be the rubber bushing in the UCA? My SPC do this

I thought it was, hence I swapped my Icon uniballs for the JBA's. But even with the swap and liberal greasing, I'm still getting the same noise.

That sucks. Both my Dakars and my UCA bushings squeak.

I wonder if you could alleviate by spraying a little WD-40 at the top and bottom of the coil where it rests against the shock body/cup. You may be getting a little coil twist that just happens to be making a big noise...

I have the reservior and clickers now....I only put about 2500 miles on it last year (work vehicle now!) so probably won't need it done soon but you never know. Thanks!

I have sliders (85lbs each) and a full set of RCI skids on 650lb springs and I think it rides great. Not sure how adding a bumper and winch would change it but might want to go 700lb.
