Made a deal with @kakwvu since he was trading in his truck and scored these awesome retrofits. I wish I would have went the full retro my first go around, but better late than never

I'm near Syracuse. Those pictures were taken at happy valley near Mexico NY. There's definitely not much around, but state forests are usually good places for dirt roads and stuff. There's a few mud holes and stuff at happy valley, but mostly dirt roads. It's huge though and there's lots to explore.

I'm getting ready to do this to my lights. a Friday night / Saturday project and I need some help as to what I need to get started? Can I get a shopping list?

I'm just looking to paint the housing matte black. nothing crazy with light swaps. I got some Silverstar zXe's and I'm happy with them.

What do I need besides screwdrivers and a socket set?

First thing you'll need is more time most likely. I haven't personally torn a set apart, but from what I've seen it's a real bitch. The adhesive/sealant that Toyota uses is a pain to separate, then cleaning the housing is even worse.

@no vtec 4me (kevin) may be able to give you some pointers as he does this regularly.

The removal and install of the lights is as easy as a few 10mm screws and some body clips.

This probably isn't much help, but I thought a fair warning might keep you out of a tight spot later.

Can anyone speak to the retrofit option, is there a box that requires mounting, I saw on photos of people mounting little black boxes, or is this option for switchback, halo, and other features. I am trying to understand the "order" list I want, and the effort before I order.
