Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

i'm sure i'm not at the 19770. It doesn't works for me, therefore I went back to one older with OLE.

 

If I am using the dongle version, how do I reset the LV and AT values?

 

I have the 1.05 perf. tune now ..... it has the same “ no downshift in ECT” mode......

So.. drove to Portland, OR this morning under 3 hours. In the left lane.
No issues with 19770 to report .

 

That doesn’t sound consistent with history unless you have gearlock version. If you do, that’s a known limitation of D with that tune and ECT.

We’re you confirming that’s how it’s supposed to behave? Or asking/stating if yours was misbehaving? Either way, with GL on 1.05 that’s what you get with D and ECT.

So I have downloaded and flashed 4 different tunes including the last OLE non-gearlock 2.0 for 04B04. I tried to flash back to OLE Gearlock 2.0 and having an issue with flash manager. When I go to tuning, click P5Flash Utility it just tells me Ready... bottom left. Any guesses, I've Help Updated a few times and have all of the drivers.

Might flash one version back, tip sensitivity is too much in low speed situations

My truck goes off road every day. Sometimes I need 4x4 sometimes I don't. I also drive my truck real world every day. I'm in it at least 2+ hrs a day. I drive 84+ miles a day. My last post had to do with a guy telling me I didn't have to flash the next Beta. I realize that. I also realize if your flashing a 91+ octane tune you should expect performance. there is no other reason to run 91. Matt has done an excellent job offering a box tune for everyone. Kuddos to him. I've followed this thread since 2016. I'm on my second 3rd Gen. I'd buy a third in a heart beat. This Gen will never ever drive like trucks from the past no matter what tune you flash or what mods you do. Performance comes at a cost. I know because like I've said I'm an old guy. I've had 454s, 460s some made 650hp. Nothing I ever drove when I was most peoples age on here had small blocks cams intakes and head work done. Ya they were my daily drivers. If you want to go your gonna suffer somewhere. If you wanna go in 4lo, don't do 91 octane. At my age you don't need to explain what 4 lo is for I was probably using it before most of the peeps here were out of high school. I work and run a place that makes 4x4s & 6x6s and anything else no one else wants to touch. Hell we have even done school buses. Like I've said. I've followed this from the start. I've just been silent and listened to all the expectations from this tune. If you want to run in 4lo. Flash something for 4lo. Just don't expect a guy that uses his Taco every day to be happy with a tip in that a guy is going use 4lo once in a while. That's not to much to ask. Everyone has their opinion. That is just mine. You guys just seem to think no one else reads or has a real life working understanding of performance and real world. Matt @OVTune, He understands this. I see his frustration from time to time. You can't make everyone happy. The only way your tune will be perfect is if you personally put it on a dyno and have your trk tuned that way. @OVTune is probably the best thing that's happened for anyone that wants the Tacoma to drive different. You guys that use 4lo shouldn't expect a guy that uses his truck in 4h, 4lo and 2wd on the hwy to want that......JUST SAYIN. If that offends anyone I suggests when you tell me what I NEED or question what I want, I might be real life enough to understand the REAL WORLD.
