Also extra clothes stuff by your feet to put on in the morning when it’s cold. If it’s really cold i also stuff my water source in there so my water doesn’t freeze.

I looked at those, but feel like I might as well cover the entire hood for that fall/winter AM and PM commute glare.

yeah Williamsburg, James City Co. and York Co. added an additional 1% on sales tax for "Tourism" so that's on top of the extra sales tax for NoVA and Hampton Roads. So normally prepared food is taxed at 4%, so then add in 7% general sales tax and you're at 12%. Can we start a lengthy conversation about the irony of the colonial capital adding 1% tourism tax for ALL purchases (found out last year the day it was effecti r while buying a dishwasher... how many tourist buy home appliances while vacationing in the historic triangle???).

So I was thrown off in the opposite way when I took my now wife to her favorite Richmond area restaurant and to me it seemed off, but that's because if you are in the say general suburbs of Richmond, sales tax is 5.3% and then add on the 4% food tax (prepared foods).

I'm between Richmond and Williamsburg now, and I'll go the extra 12 miles for larger purchases both for the net savings and as a big F U to their half a percent tourism tax (because the other. half goes to fill their budget shortfalls, damn crooks!)

    ok tangent over

Especially since I paid full Pentagon pricing (remember the $550 hammers) for it due to a fucked up supply Sgt. I got promoted and transferred to a new unit. I asked the supply guy for my clothing record so I knew what I owed him. He said just drop all your stuff off. F U buddy. 12 years in and been supplementing what the Army issue, and especially what the Army Reserved didn't issue. I ain't just dropping a duffle bag full of my own gear off. I want to know exactly. Months go by and he is too busy to pull my record. I complain to the full timer, a Cpt. who says not to worry. When they do a statement of charges the investigating officer will have it when he knocks on my door.

Never got a knock. Just didn't get a paycheck after my two week annual training one year.

the meal tax is the same, the historic triangle members (york co James City Co. and Williamsburg city) passed a local sales tax add effective 7/1/18, so unlike the rest of the Hampton Roads counties and cities whose sales tax (like Most of NoVA)is at 6% (we get the 0.7% added for transportation thanks to our regional traffic woes and burden compared to the rest of the Commonwealth).

like I said in my initial response I now tend to . Me my big hardware purchases (big box store stuff my local small business hardware store can't swing), I'll drive the extra 12 miles one way to make the purchase with 5.3% sales tax vs. the 7% (again half of the extra 1% they passed goes towards tourism, remaining half is for them to plug into budget holes).

FYI I work in Yorktown, so I'm well versed from my co-workers bitching all last year about it.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
The cost of tubing at this point isnt what's stopping me. If I paid someone to do it, itd cost less than a re gear.

It's more like I dont want to do it because I will have to get rid of my 16 inch wheels to go to 37s because if I'm tubing that's what I'm doing lol.

I’ve been making some obstacles this weekend in preparation for another weekend gathering. Anyone have ideas for something semi challenging? I’m not going to order granite boulders yet @twheat40 . Here’s My new addition, a flex out area46632706-7C65-4C06-AAFB-F1143AFA536A.jpgD07C2689-481A-48E5-B046-16FBE51B383F.jpg

The installation got the better of me. The tolerances were so tight that I was getting extremely pissed off. I managed to get one bolt in, and the other halfway in.

Decided I’d remove the bolts and enlarge the holes a little. Couldn’t get the bolts out, so I cut the bar in half. Came right out after that. If it’s gonna be that much of a pain in the ass every time then I don’t want to deal with it.

Go to a big truck tire place and get tractor tires. Stack those and fill them with dirt. It will give you an obstacle requiring less dirt and won't erode.
