Switch Pros 9100 install and BS thread

Mine sits right behind the clutch reservoir


I was gonna do a power tray but you want the switch pro vertically mounted and this works well. I’ve never had an issue.

The programming is a nice bonus on top of the other advantages. You can also configure flashing, memory, startup, etc.

It’s well worth the cost IMO. I won’t do electrical without one ever again.

 

Just a feeler, is anyone interested in this mounting solution for the Switchpros panel? Uses the unholey vent mount for mounting. I chose to go this route because I didn't like having to take my eyes off the road to hit the switches in the cubby area. The steering wheel blocks the view a bit. Been using it for 8 months or so since my install and really like it, as opposed to some of the alternatives.

I figure its not for everyone, but if anyone is interested I could print off a few.

 

I think Ryan should dub it over with the most overused 5 Finger Death Punch track we can find, AND talk for 20 mins and then demonstrate a 5 min assembly video. You know, like the "pros"

Yeah, those stubby cables are well worth the money. Total pain in the dick to fab ones that short.

 

Where did y’all wire up your- white wire -Pinkish wire & blue wire?
Also what all do each of those wires do! If you could tag me in a thread of where they go and the best option please let me know! I appreciate all y’all’s help! Here is my switch pros so far! Going to be hopefully installing sometime this weekend with someone from this group!

 

Here you’ll find a breadth of information including options to tap into existing wires/fuses for the white, pink and light blue wire.

As far as “what” accessories you’re terminating to the Switch-Pro and your terminal block, you’ll need to read and re-read the Switch-Pro manual and then factor in said accessories to utilize the proper switch position on the Switch-Pro.

Finally got my set up in. Going to be working on it this week , and installing it this weekend. I’m super stoked.

 

Out of curiosity where did you get the baggie of ring terminals? I've needed to get marine grade ring terminals for my wiring but they come in packs of at least 25 and I really only need 10-15. Thanks.

 

I got them from Power Trays when I ordered most of what you see on the table minus the switch pro.

When I added the items to cart it had a option to add hardware to the order.

I’m not sure if they offer it separately or not.

 

So we finally got the switch pros installed and they looked good and they function well! The only issue I’m having is-
When I start my car or drive around my switch pro buttons don’t work unless my phone is turned on and have the switch pros app open and then it’ll work! Any suggestions on how to fix this or what the possible issue might be? @Gunshot-6A helped me with the install and did a KILLER job!

I had the same issue, and found that it is due to a incorrect fuses that I had tapped into - the Light Blue Ignition wire and White T2. Go into your fuse box and change it to these two fuses:

Light Blue Ignition - fuse tap into the Injector Fuse
White/T2 - Right Low Beam

So I copied your steps and now they turn on ..but my light bar isn’t working now for some odd reason..and when I start my car all the lights turn on by themselves and I have to click them off... any reason for this?
(I don’t have the pink wire in because I don’t know what it’s for or where it would go)

Yes sorry just switched and played around with different fuses and got it to work

 

make something like this for a 2nd gen!

 

Had a few people PM me for 3rd Gen. Working on adding it to the site now, likely gonna do a small run. I wouldn't mind making one for second gen but no test truck .

 

I guess I need to decide between SPOD and Switchpro too first

 

I’ve gotta wire up mine one of these days. I started to disassemble the harness so I could pull out the excess for the air lockers and pressure switch.

I think most people just slap it in as is and leave all the extra garbage in there.

 

Does he anyone have a wiring diagram for installing a compressor and locker on a switchpro 9100?...
