UltraGauge Group Buy - 55 shipped

My truck didn't come with an outside thermometer. Would it be possible to install the thermometer so I could display Outside Ambient Temp my UG?

 

I was talking about this with a buddy today since his truck reads it. I would say probably not since the ECU doesn't monitor it. So unless there's a way for you to get that protocol transfered through the ECU I don't see how it could be done unless you know how to program & hack the UG's code.

With the extender, could you just break or cut the "abs" pin off

 

Yes that should work & might be the easiest/cleanest solution.

 

I am trying to plan out what gauges to use and where. So, the first thing I did was to take a picture of all of the available gauges and transfer them to text. This might help some of you plan yours too, so here is list of all available gauges on my 2010 PreRunner V6 SR5:

It would be nice to see a description of what some of the more technical ones are too. We all can figure out Average MPG, but what does Evaporative % Purge mean?

 

Anyone notice if you hold the page up button long enough it resets your fuel tank reading to full without having to go through the menu? Found out accidently. Gotta go fill up now.

Good find! Thank you. Did you notice if that also resets the trip gauges?

 

My first page has mph, rpm, instant and average mpg, fuel level and dist. to empty. The second page is default and I put all my temps. on the third page along with engine load and oil distance.

 

Guess you guys never read the manual huh?

 

I didn't. I checked the manual and it said nothing of a short cut. I wonder if the reset depends on how your pages/gauges are set up?

 

OK. Found it. Don't feel so brilliant anymore.
