So I had the kit installed and it was working fine. All of a sudden, when engaging the switch to either Front Camera or Back Camera, I get a black screen. Putting the car in reverse yielded the same black screen except for one time where the screen looked all glitchy and messed up. I've taken the dongles out and put the original connectors back in place and now the reverse camera works just fine (when in reverse). Has anyone had an issue like this?

Sounds like the video connection from the relay came loose.

I started my install by working the wire harness. I plugged in and wired together all that I could , using wax string ( old school cable ties ) and black tape before the actual in dash install. The kit uses 12v from the harness rather than making you get 12v from the fuse box. This is the green from relay , green from pigtale from 24pin extender is 12v. Anyway tonight I will run the video cable out of the cab to the front grill area. Ill post pics along the way. This is the feature I had on my 17 F150 I miss dearly.

It wasnt easy, still have not permantly mounted in grill, I created a wire harness the best I could, I had to fish that through the dash, not to hard, the switch I selected to replace was the iphone charger switch. It PUSHES out forward into the cab.
Routed the white switch connecter out of that hole and in seconds the new switch was in. Install was not to bad, I had to cut the white and purple wire, its not just right, when you get to the red bar , you already hit the object. I really enjoy the
full time camera front or back or you can run it normally, everything seemed to work as before. I was unable to mount the relay, I just stuffed in back there somewhere. No need to pole hole in firewall gasket, just start from the inside, it was very easy
to peel it back with fingers, I think this is pretty quick for most folks, I have little strenth left in my arms these days, 40 years driving a mouse. wireharness took 3 hours to fix up the way i wanted, install took another 3. I had no helpers and last few hours it was dark.
I grounded to the 10MM bolt behind the radio and added that to the two black orange twisty cap.
camera ground down low behind battery in engine compartment
435 miles on the Odometer had truck less than 2 weeks. Remote Start is probably next or a curt front reciever. wireharness1.jpg wireharness2.jpg wireharnes3.jpg frontcameraon.jpg frontcameratemp.jpg

Anyone hooked this up to the Meso stage 2 shift knob kit? Installing mine but it’s not working. I have hooked up wires both ways (red to black and green to orange and vice versatile and nothing?

I have unplugged and replugged harness a few times also

Edit: this is just for the rear cam anytime mod

I did not have the shift mod kit, I assume it should play together correctly. Keep in mind that if that kit provided a wire harness changes, that it may not be compatable with this change I made.
I can with this kit have front or back anytime all the time truck is ON.

JJ stopped selling them a year ago or more. You need to use a different source.
