Probably just the bearings on the pulley since it sat for a year spray some penetrating oil to see if that stops it .

It stops after 20 seconds every time i start it. Thats why i think its the little bushing or bearing inside the alternator itself :(

My corolla did that. Go stupid loud when it was cold. But never failed. Perfect excuse to do the newly discovered 105 amp alt upgrade!

But would i benefit from that upgrade? Lol. Never heard of it...

I don’t plan to mod this vehicle. Might add a light bar for night driving, since i do that a lot. Thats about it.

benefit? probably not. but i think they're cheaper than the replacement for our trucks. (granted i havnt looked up what those cost in probably 3 years now)

I looked it up. Slightly cheaper, but i’m not sure if its worth it....wonder if it’d kill the regulator or something else.... :(

So my check engine light finally came back on again today. This time only an O2 sensor code. Fortunately my o2sensor came in the mail today! So i’m going to slap that in here soon as i’m finished writing this completely shit, college paper.

Replaced the sensor last night, cleared the light, and took it for a drive. I swear it must have gained 40hp. This is the best it has run since i got it!!!

Only other related items I can replace are the MAF, the cats, and the downstream o2 sensor.

But, I really think that a bad coolant temp sensor is all that caused the frustration of the previous owner and the terrible shops he took it to

both sensors are new? if you have access to something that can read graphs a cat is easy to tell when its bad. but given the age, its likely cats. my magnaflows were good when my truck was running. can go wrong with em

Could be the down stream reading improperly. But hard to tell without a decent scan tool.
