if you have driveline vibes get a beefedtaco CB drop bracket... it work wonders

That thing certainly is Beefed! How much does it drop the carrier bearing? Looks like a couple of inches. Is it that much?

2 3/8 inches!!! thats more than im even lifted in the rear lol. i may try it though once i fix my bro rake

 

i just put 5 washers on each side and it sorta solves the low speed vibes. sometimes in high speed vibes comes on and off. depending on the road condition im on driving on.

 

nelson18matt, did you install the cb drop yourself? did it come with hardware?

 

It looks like it reuses some of the hardware. The product picture shows it comes with the top/center bolt and 2 side bolts.

I did the 881's ....5100 @ 0 5100's rear and 1.5 lift in the rear and no vibs at all.

 

The further away from stock that you go, the more likely you are to have vibs. Typically they don't show up til you go more than 2" of lift.

 

wow anymore pics of that beefed CB bracket? like one from the side that shows the whole shaft? looks likes it makes a 2 piece drive shaft into 1

 

yes, did it myself. took me about 30 min w/ hand tools, in the dark and a few beers deep

it came w/ all the needed hardware and some of the stock hardware is re-used

this is the only other pic i have on my comp. i can take some more if you like. the CB bracket totally realigns the drive shaft to make it straight again. it's such a great little product and built solid as hell

 

wow it looks pretty badass! how much is he chargin for that? you dont think it would like get fucked up off road at all like in rocks or steep shit and like getting high centered?

i'd wrather have a few chips in the bracket than have my carrier bearing fail while i'm in the middle of no where and have to call for a tow truck...

 

I created the poll when pondering on OME 881's and wheeler's 5 leaf packs. Since that setup plus labor was 2k at a minimum, I went with 5100's set at 1" to level the truck and couldn't be happier. Love the stance now and no worries about vibes or anything like that.
