What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

So all I did was drive mine today. But took my 2 girls and their friend for a photo shoot. My youngest is into photography and my oldest wanted some Halloween pics with pumpkins so this is what they came up with.

(Actually a week ago ... ) Put on four new Pirelli Scorpion tires at Sam's Club. They were $574 installed out the door. Now have about 1300 miles on them .... like 'em!

Installed my KTJO Bolt-N-Lock tailgate kit. Super impressed with it so far. Idk why it isn't a stock feature.

 

Just installed H9 light bulbs with the harnesses and bulbs recommended in the 3rd Gen headlight thread! I’m pumped to see how it does!

 

Still need to do mines

 

Took a sander to the bed. Laying the Coating on tomorrow. Fingers crossed

I used a posi-tap to the cargo light switch for the garage opener, and lower lights on the LED switches. Here is a thread:

I used this circuit for the opener:



The other 2 switches attach to the each Rigid harness (3 wires). You are left with Red 2 on each switch. So the Red 2's from the LEDs, and both Reds from the opener attach to the ILL+ on the cargo switch. The black ground from there opener attaches to the ILL- on the cargo switch. The top and bottom light on the opener work with the truck lights. The wording on the LED switches works the same way, but the truck icon only lights with the LEDs are turned on.

I use a fuse panel in the engine bay to power the LEDs.

You are pulling 2 3-wire LED lights circuits through the firewall. The lights are dimmable, but still brighter than the factory illumination. Make for a fairly clean install.
