Something like this would be plug and play:

This one is more permanent though I honestly don't know if it'll even fit in the spot where our 12v socket is, but I'm sure something like it out there will work:

I didn't know whether to post this here or in the maintenance thread, but here goes. The center display on my dash said something like "brake system malfunction override, please visit dealer". So I checked the master cylinder and it was low :crapstorm: So I added fluid and got a little too much in, so again :crapstorm: This made it so the truck would not start and I had to remove the extra and disconnect the battery to reset the computer before it would start. So, check your fluid once in a while and don't over fill it.

If youre having trouble getting the drum off, the bolts that hold the hard line to the housing fit in the the two holes on the drum and can be used to push it off.

Models with smart key/push start, directly below the top entry sensor on driver side door handle, there is a secondary entry sensor as well.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this. Just got a Pro this week. Been reading page 1 of this thread of some minor problems, low trans oil, axle U bolts loose on 4x's and lack of grease on universal joints. This thread started about 2 years ago. Are these issues I listed still happening today. Hard to imagine but you'd think there would have been some service bulletins to address this. Thanks all. Glad to have a Tacoma Pro.

    I have a 2016 TRD OR .
A tip for the Navigation sd card . I bought this on Ebay and the numbers say it is the latest for 2018/2019 , but the cards are said to come out in Oct. so there may be a newer one in a couple weeks for $180 .Anyway the 2020's have a different system that will require a subscription and cell phone /service . Who knows if they will continue to update the nav cards for the 2016-2019 .
Anyway it is pretty cheap now ( $46) and thing one worked perfectly in my 2016 , and it updated the software what ever that was . This was my first update I bought since new . I also did a check to search for newer stores that did not show up on my older version and they now show up , so it really updated ,
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/TOYOTA-NAV...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649

Another tip for leaving the hood open and truck off to use a battery charger . I found that the warning on the dash for (hood ajar ) will go off after about 1/2 hour or so .

Thanks for the tips! I ordered the updated Navigation card for my 2017 on Saturday, and it got here today (the following Wednesday). Just stuck it in and turned it on, and it took a few minutes to update, but it went fine and I now have the newer maps. Thanks!
