The saddest part of it though, isn't the epic fail, but the utter destruction of a rare, beautiful Indigo Ink due to stupidity...

Sad, but still funny... Especially the dangling headlight.

I learned in Driver's Ed, In texas it is illegal not to use your parking brake :)

If i was a cop in a terrible mood, i think that'd be the easiest way to give out tickets lol

    This is the winning post.

If you read your user's manual, you will notice that Toyota clearly states as one of steps to properly park the vehicle, you ALWAYS set the parking brake. If you do not, you are doing it wrong.

This takes a lot of stress off the parking pawl in the transmission - especially if your vehicle is parked on an incline. This decreases stress on the entire transmission. If you don't use your parking brake and have early transmission problems, now you know why.

    Read here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parking_pawl

The video above is repost # 4983546 and is obviously insurance fraud.

definitely a re-post but if I'm not mistaken the guy did that to get out of payments and claim it through insurance...or something like that...

cause you notice he ran out of that door so quickly jumped in the truck and drove right out of the parking...F*CK!NG INS. Fraud bastards...and they wonder why premiums go up...

I have lived in Texas all my life (mostly in Houston) and have never heard that. Doing a quick Google search came up with nothing. I seriously doubt that it is a law to set your parking brake.

I am a Texas Peace Officer. I am getting off work and just checked my ticket system and there is a citation for "No Parking Brakes" but I dont know if thats for not using or not having. There is also a ticket for "parked without stopping engine"
