Just bought a 2015 Tacoma from Michigan and had it shipped over to Hawaii has about 20k+ miles

but any way , thinking about getting the URD Y Pipe just wanted any thoughts about it . Pretty much looking for better performance/HP gains . The day I got installed CAI , including a throttle body spacer lol

Will be adding headers and exhaust including a S/C in the future , but just slowly taking it step by step .

If you think I should get something else instead of the URD Y Pipe please LMK

Congrats on the new truck and welcome! So I am running the URD Y and I’m undecided as to if I’d do it again. I have trd cai, Doug yhorley longtubes, URD y, and trd exhaust. I also have the URD maf calibrator. Honestly the y pipe doesn’t give you enough bang for the buck. At least not NA. If you go forces induction sooner rather than later, yea I’d get it. But if it’s going to be a while before you SC it, I would wait and put that money elsewhere.

    just my opinion though man.

What CAI system did you use? Just wondering. Been thinking about one my self. I know they come with one and all but i want the noise.

If you are asking if there is a better aftermarket y-pipe compared to URD, then yes there is. The URD pipe is a nice upgrade but the JFR y-pipe is heads and shoulders better than the URD.

If you are asking if an aftermarket ypipe is a good upgrade in general. Yes it is! IMO, better than a TB spacer, MAF cal, etc.....

The SC with a smaller pulley will really wake up your truck!

The Airraid TB just adds a whistle noise to it .

a tun like @JustDSM suggested is the best bang without going to a SC. y pipe, CAI, Exhaust will never give you what you want on its own. If the goal is a S/C save up for that. Its a completely different ball game. All those give the truck more noticeable added power with the S/C.

The only thing I really like about my URD y-pipe is that it's a factory looking part that tucks and re-routes the exhaust tighter to the truck and out of harm's way. I've noticed no gains in performance from doing it, don't really like the raspy exhaust note it gives and will agree that the best bang for the buck in the performance world is a @JustDSM map using the HP Tuner.

I do like the high-tuck nature of the pipe. Are you still using the stock exhaust or have you something a little more free-flowing?

I'm still using a turn-down modified stocker. Even with it, the rasp is noticeable above 3.5k.

Heading out now to flash your 86/87 tune and put some miles on it...
