^ Very nice, thats definitely next on my list! Now about the fogs on anytime mod...will that void my warranty on my 2010? The only thing that comes to mind is that it might void anything electrical warranty wise... :(

Killer mod! I just did it and man are they bright! Now if someone could put this on a switch for when people are tailgating you with their brights on... and just for grins get the backup camera to come on also so you could see their expression. Now that would be a MOD

Alright, so I did the Foglight mod and the maintenance req'd light came on but then went away...but now it came back and won't go away. Is there a special reason to this? Or should I turn it into the service department and have them check something else out..

The maintenance required light means it's time to change the oil. Has it been 5,000 miles since you changed the oil last? I you blew a fuse or something I would expect the light to be always on, or always off. Not acting like it's supposed to.

235x75x15 Kuhmos. SnugTop Tonneau. Blacked out some interior parts. Pioneer head unit. Ammo can mod, deck plate mod and sandbox mod from not putting my deck plate back in.
I read awhile back about someone using old military ammo cans as storage in the bed of their Tacoma, but no one could seem to find any at a reasonable price online. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the thread since I read it, but I have found a link to these cheap, easy, water-proof mods.

I personally have a small ammo can that I keep my tow chains in. Works perfect!

I just changed it to mobil 1 synthetic about 1,000 miles ago. The light came on after doing the mod but then disappeared after 30 seconds or so. It has now been about 7 days and the light just popped on and won't go away. It stays on everytime the vehicle is running.

Did you reset the light when you changed the oil? Maybe a dumb question, but a lot of people don't know about that. Other than that, I can only think to check the fuses, and the wiring for the mod itself. :notsure:

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I would recheck everything you did, make sure your filter is on correct and tight enough, same with your drain plug, recheck fluid levels. On a cool engine, start you truck and let it run idle for about a minute and then check your levels.

Thats all I can think of, if all else fails get in touch with chris4x4.

Ooo I didn't reset the light after changing the oil, it was the first time changing it myself (only has 13,700 now). I also have a front left parking light out. I bet it's a combination of those two

 Reset the light and see what happens. Just make sure you take note of the mileage and when you need to change it next. :D I stopped writing it down and just go off the light now. Especially with both vehicles having that count down indicator now.

    ok im a little confused..
the only red/yellow wire or red/black wire i see is the one that comes from
the headlight plug harness. not the turn signal plug harness.
are those the right ones to splice off of?

Colors may have changed for the 2010 model. :notsure: Try comparing locations? If 1 or more of the other colors exist. And no, you're not using the headlight wire! The side markers would never flash then since....well....your headlights don't flash. :D

just making sure. i read your directions over and over and i keep going back
to the truck and i see the red/yellow on the headlight harness and thought
no this cant be right. so i guess they did change the colors.
did you tap off of the middle wire or the outer wire of the turn signal harness?

oh, i also did the cheap dtrl today. thanks for the writeup
