    on the topic of boost gauges. could tube density alter readings? my meth gauge has a very small almost rigid line. my aem gauge is larger, softer silicone. there is a tee fitting dividing the two. my aem always reads about 1lb lower. according to previous feedback im more confident in the meth gauge for accuracy. maybe more light can be shead on this topic when @Roostfactor gets his meth system up and going.

    Interesting, in that both the Tacoma (with Speedhut gauges) and my Shelby (with Autometer gauges) show similar (-20 - -15 in Hg) vacuum readings. Both gauges also show the boost expected, based on the way each vehicle is configured. The Shelby was smoke tested for leaks and the dyno pulls I've done confirm its boost readings are accurate. (Haven't tested or dynoed the Tacoma.) AFR readings in both vehicles also appear good.

    Not arguing with either of you, BTW. Just reporting my observations.

    I have noticed vacuum at idle change a fair amount depending on various factors.
    There is not a single correct value.

    Some things that could/will cause it to vary include:

    Idle rpm
    Idle engine load.....a/c, rad fan engagement, etc.
    Atmospheric pressure as discussed
    If tuning yourself, early (low load) VVTI engagement
    Ignition timing, etc.

    They all play a part and now that we have more tuning options, the deviance between two vehicles can be greater.

    Question for the double bearing pulley on the Roush tensioner crowd:

    Does the stock tensioner pulley bolt work with the dbl bearing or is a longer one needed? Would prefer to know before I pull everything apart and strand myself on an island.
