UTAH (and Surrounding Areas) BS Thread

Hi all,

I just picked up a set of Kings and want to get them set to the correct preload before I toss them on. Does anyone know a good shop in Salt Lake for this? I want to put them on myself but I would prefer not to bang them up with my shitty NAPA spring compressor.

 

I had a good experience with fat Bob's garage.

 

You can just loosen the collar and use the adjuster rod to make changes with them on. Of course getting them ballpark isn't a bad idea first because doing it in the wheel well is kind of a bitch for gross adjustments.

I second this. I always use TNA, but they’re busy so I would go to fat bobs

Yeah lets do it. I needed to get that frame taken care of. Pulled the bed off and went .... Wasn't expecting to do that much to it, but lets just say I ubered to work today. hahaha.

 

Gotta keep the steed happy to keep you happy. Don't wanna be like that guy that snapped his frame in half while on a trail.

Not my pic. It was in one of the Moab threads I'm in for trip planning. Moab does have a ton of good biking. Some had their bikes in the swell too, but I didn't see any great trails around.

 

There's a decent bike trail around the rim of the little Grand Canyon. I forget what it's called though.

 

Yeah, I know all about that one. A lot of the interior trails that a buddy and I were going to bikepack 2 weekends ago were like 3 inches of sand though... #hardno

Last I checked the Utes are favored by 2.5, which is dangerous. I’m looking forward to this weekend. We need Oregon to beat USC. Go Ducks!

Edit: it’s now 3.5, which makes me nervous.

 

Budweiser is having their Clydesdales tour downtown SLC tonight doing a mock funeral for the death of low point beer from the liquor stores.

 

The Draper Harmons on 11400 is stripped. Like one case of O'douls left.
