Mojave Run - September 18, 2010

It was good seeing you Mike! We had a great run too! The 4wd routes we took were a blast. Toy120 put on a great trip!!! Man their rigs were great expo runners! A guy came by camp this morning from Georgia that had a Wyatt 4runner. Pretty crazy! On the Toy120 side... I don't think there was more than one truck that didn't have a frig. Way too much food but a GREAT TIME. Sorry you guys had the injury. I am surprised that no one took you up on that trip! Oh yeah, I ripped my skid plate completely off on a jump in the lake bed heading to the traveler's monument! Fortunately for me and the group - pit stop was two 14mm bolts and we back running within 5 minutes!

those rigs were certainly beasts...

it would be great to get more TW folks in on our bi-annual trips...

we did a lot of exploring and found some crazy stuff...

 

Yeah, I'd enjoy doing that! We did some good side trips - mine, petroglyphs, lava tubes, strip club, you know the regular stuff....

 

yah, my fave part of the trip was the raping and pillaging...

Thanks to Robert and the other members of Toyota120.com for letting a lowly Tacoma to ride along with some of the nicest expo rigs I've seen.

And please.... If any of you do plan on doing this trip (or any other trip for that matter), please pic up after yourself AND OTHERS - Many of the trails/bypasses have been 'reclaimed' (as protected area) due to some jack offs trashing the desert.

Please help by doing more than your part and influencing those around you and picking up trash left by others.

With the ever shrinking off-roading landscape, You CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! Please do it!

Also, if you see any taggers out there, please note, the side arm rule does apply. I think the 5 douche bag limit has been lifted!!! - Oh yeah, bring a shovel - it's easier to leave the body there!!!

 

Looks like an awesome run I will have to make sure to get the time off and go on the run in the Spring.

Yeah baby! - Everyone was HAM equipped (I gave my to one of the guys), most all had refrigerators, and a bunch of roof top tents.

Great run. Makes me want to quit my job and travel the states.... land in 10' x 10' Montana shack....

No she rolled in and started running plates... then we gave her a heads up that we're in a permitted group. She says that they've been having a lot of problems so she checks out everyone.

 

i didnt even bring my still camera... i had my video camera, so i should have a youtube video to link to sometime soon...

 

was it the blonde ranger? she was a cutie... she rolled through camp... i think James flashed his badge and they started chatting... i think she lost track that we had 4 trucks in the stall where its supposed to only be 2 vehicles per camp site...

Yes we did! Very cool - regarding the ranger - I thought she had brown hair but she may have been wearing a wig!!!
