    Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
    Installing 4 LED turn signals. So to be clear, you can remove the relay without removing the fuse box?

    If so, what am I pressing on to pull it out, doing it blindly? I can see it with an inspection camera and can feel it clicking by hand, just not sure how to get it out. Is there enough clearance?

    Otherwise, let me know if the fuse box has to come out. 2005, no DRL.

    I have (well, had) DRLs, and I got my old flasher out, and the y-harness, with the dash intact.

    Just lay on the floor with your head under the dash, grab it and wiggle and pull. It was a PITA, but less of one than disassembling and reassembling the whole left side of the dash for not a very good reason!

    So I got the sumbitch out. But it didnt come easy. Spent more time trying to jiggle it than just pulling the dash apart. I guess it has been there for 14 years.
    Anyways, followed this guys steps to disassemble dash. Very helpful @Riverdog ,wherever you are.

    Led tail lights, 2” leveling kit, 265/75/16 tires, bed led, rock lights, bull bar with led light, made a 12” fiberglass sub box, new stereo head unit, married reverse camera to headunit and rear view mirror
    Hitting an old thread but for those who are looking... I have a 2011 Tacoma, I put new led tail lights in about 6 months ago. Everything was working great... then the dreaded hyper flash showed it’s ugly head. Just on the left side, I replaced the bulbs in the front thinking one was gonna go out. No luck... I used this thread to track down the relay and discovered that it was not the problem. I pulled the tail lights out, and just for shits and giggles I decided to put some dielectric grease in the connectors. All of them... the new ones, the old main connectors, then buttoned everything back up and it works great, I must have had a lose pin or one with some wear on it, but it solved the problem. I’ll repost if I have the issue resurface. Just thought I’d leave this here incase someone else needs to research before spending the money on a new relay.

    In the first part of this thread there is a Toyota part mentioned, a jumper block needed to delete the DRLs.
    I was looking at my truck last night, do you know what 3 wires combo are jumped in this jumper block? Just curious, if I could just solder the wires myself instead of buying the Toyota part.

    Can you get a Big Mac, fries, and a drink for just 1 person for $8 these days? I don't go to McDonald's anymore, they changed their grease years ago and it gives me the runs. Burger King's Whopper meal comes in at over $10 for 1 person and the customer will be lucky to get their order as ordered from the tool inside making $15 an hour. Lol

    Believe it or not, some of us just enjoy tinkering, and it's not about the money. In some cases, for me to order the part, drive to get and drive back to my house it would take longer and cost more than it would to make a jumper myself. It's way 'more gooder' that way as the Haribo ad says....

    NO need to solder. If your vehicle has the harness you'd eliminate(de-pin or cut) the DRL ground. Which relay does your truck have the 18 pin or the 12 pin?

    Just got the hyper blinker on my passenger side of my 07. Purchased it with LED taillights and they worked fine for over a year, but not now? All signals work, don't know if it's a relay or what else to look for? Doesn't have drls.

    You know, since I posted that link of the tow harness, I got to thinking. For the people that have that 4 way harness in their truck, I wonder if that's strictly the "over the counter tow package" harness. It would make sense that if a truck doesn't come with a tow package and you want to add a 4 wire trailer light connector, plugging in those pieces shown would be an easy way to do it.

    It is...there are 2 versions from Toyota, but most dealers didn't install them.:notsure: And owners balked at the price of the "oem" ones...:facepalm:
