I believe this is a yes actually. I do not have my truck currently as it is getting some last minute work done on it right now, but I’m pretty sure you can even open the tailgate

 

I need to just publish my website do all my items are there. Problem is I want it to be perfect before I publish it and maybe it just isn’t going to be. Ugh it would make ordering a lot easier

 

Do you know if it is possible to disable the tailgate from being unlocked with the cab controls?

 

Sorry, there were two question there, I only answered one. Yes, you can lock/unlock the tailgate from the cab controls. No, with this kit, the FOB will always lock/unlock the tailgate.

I disagree with the idea that she is not running a business.
When you offer a product or service on a repeating basis and for a cost, you are running a business. It may be a small business, but it is a business.
Customer service and communication is the backbone of business, big or small.
Having said all of that, I received my kit today and just finished installing it. I found it very easy to install. I found the kit well thought out and we'll put together. It went in quick and works perfectly. The wiring harness is well protected, I see no reason to expect any problems going forward.
It is a bit on the loud side, but a little deadening material should fix that. Overall a very good product at a good price. Well done and Thank you.

 

Just installed my complete bolt-n-lock kit...

If you're on the fence about getting one, just do it...do it NOW...everything in the kit, from the packaging to the kit itself, is top notch.

Installed this weekend. Started from the front passenger kick panel. Katie's plug and play made it easy to confirm the actuator worked with the key fob before actual install.



My SR5 didnt have the wire bundle along the passenger side frame, but still works with holes in frame. Here's the wire loom (not included in the kit) going thru the plug.

Drilled holes in the bracket thingies below the bed and bottom of tailgate. Wrapped the wires in electrical tape.

Installing the actuator and bracket is fairly straightforward. You'll need philips screwdriver, T15 torx bit, 10, 9 and 8mm sockets, an 8mm open end wrench or small crescent will work too. Need a T30 torx to remove the plastic tailgate cover screws also.

I added the bracket and rod to my "Gen 1" kit. Very straightforward. Totally didn't install the actuator the wrong way the first time. Or figure that out when things didn't align. Only real hitch was not enough wiring between the loomed harness and the wires from the actuator. I'm guessing there's more included in the current harness now. Easy fix, though, as I had plenty of electrical supplies.

The sound is a little quieter and I don't see any obvious flexing of the external tailgate panel. Worth the upgrade for anyone that got the first iteration of the kit.

 

Awesome to hear this worked out as you hoped . I do believe in the new kits there is extra wire now added to help make the install better .
