If you rub diesel on your body every day you shall be invincible.

Solid axle turbo diesel and I wouldn't be able to write a check fast enough... When I was out of the country and had the opportunity to ride in some modern Toyota diesels I was sold.

I'd settle for a HiLux, but really like to see the Landcruiser 70 stateside.

I'd like to see the solid axle and the diesel. Would hate to see the price tag on the diesel!

If a new Tacoma with Turbo Diesel and Solid Axle were available in the US, I'd be willing to pay an extra $4-5K for it, perhaps even a bit more.
If the Toyota Hilux 3.0 L were sold here, I'd buy one right away.
As a matter of fact, a couple of years ago I did bend over backwards looking into the feasibility of importing one (found it is an illegal impossibility as things currently are, no matter how many legal loopholes you are willing to go through), then into the possibility of doing an engine swap....to no avail.
If one such Toyota ever becomes available, it will be my next purchase.

What about a taco with stock LT, like what Ford did with the Raptor. That would be sick in my opinion, along with a turbo diesel, of course.

False. Diesel is not flammable unless under extreme pressure.

Explaining why foundation setters spray forms with diesel to keep the cement from sticking to it. If it was flammable, that would be a terrible idea

Hmm. Well we used diesel and it seemed to work. I went and filled up the spray tanks myself with diesel from the pump per the boss' orders

I figured it was the cheap ass way to do it. Knowing my boss. But my point was, it's not flammable if you set a flame to it.

Driving the Hilux in Afghanistan is what convinced me to buy a Tacoma when I got back, it (Tacoma) was the closest cousin to the Hilux...I would trade my truck in at the delare for a loss if they brought the Hilux over here...

i think the Turbo Diesel would be cool have it be a 4.7 maybe idk. and maybe have the straight front axle and option? for say people that just drive ON-road may like the ride of the IFS.

i also have said this before. they should make a true 3/4 tone Tundra. yeah i know you could probably put 1500 pounds in the bed. but it still rated at 1/2 ton. and that would give the US auto makers competition. and if they have something like this in another county.. idk if they do. they should bring it to the US.

    x2 (kinda)

Diesel is flammible but very very hard to light, back in the day (before JP8) we used to use it when we deployed to burn our "waste". Porta potties the old fashioned way!

Diesel is classified as "combustible". As it's flashpoint is typically around 143 °F whereas gasoline is ~ -45 °F.

Exactly, no issues with Diesel. Just making the point that it IS flammable. Which in reality is the only dif with forms of explosives and/or flammable substances- the rate at which they burn, which creates the explosion part. Some just require a smaller explostion first. Diesel cars will detonate when set on fire (even if they have no explosives in them). I have seen it first hand many times. Are they safer or less safe then a gas car? I don't know, again just making the point diesel is flammable and combustible.

Fact- Pressure creates heat. Diesel and gas fumes are most def combustible.

Explosives and explosive substances is what I do.
