    Yep power is awesome while towing just be ready for terrible towing mpg. I think I got 8-10mpg towing when I was still mostly stock. Granted that was a 5000lb+ trailer and through hills. Saw as low as 4-5 if I was really on the gas through the hills.

    Two Questions:

    1. I am going to install the new FIC injectors along with the 3* cam gears. Is there anything I need (shim wise) for the FIC injectors to fit? I remember some discussion over height?

    2. I have the woefully generic P0417 (Bank 2 Lean Code) and am wondering if there is an easy way to test the O2 sensor before spending money to just replace it. I have an upgraded fuel pump and don't believe fuel delivery is an issue. It originally came on sitting at idle. I also have fresh fittings and don't suspect any vacuum leak. Long term trims on both bank show close to 20, but short term are less than three.

    Quick bolt on that looks oem for stupid state inspection. Plus it's cheaper that other alternatives. This is my dd so I dont want it to turn into something like my 4runner, GTR, Ford, rav4, etc.

    Whoa holy crap you are incredibly lean!

    What you have to do if you suspect the AFR sensor is bad is you need to check voltages. 3.3V is the norm at idle, but that is not the full story. You need to make sure the "Ma" reading of the sensor is reporting a change in voltage constantly. If you see it is stuck or not responding at all then you indeed have a bad sensor.

    If all this looks okay than you may want to look at your MAF sensor.

    One of those two items are likely defective, but it's up to you to determine which one is bad.

    Just did my latest MPG calculation on a long road trip.

    14.47 highway doing between 75-80 most of the way. :(

    305 miles to the tank if ran until dry.

    That's pretty garbage.

    I was pulling this data off my Creader at idle this morning. I will check more closely to follow your steps. However, I don't see how the MAF sensor would trigger this code or a lean situation regarding only one bank of the engine. I would understand both banks, but not sure if it could affect only one bank. Thanks for the help.

    Ahh. It's one bank only. Okay disregard the MAF sensor suggestion then, I wasn't aware it was only on one side.

    There are a few possibilities here..

    Stuck, lazy, or a non op AFR sensor, Mal firing fuel injectors, or a vacuum leak on that bank (that of which you determined there is not).

    Boost, armor, lights, big tires, no savings.
    Are you still on the OEM clutch? Original? I had to go back to OEM prior to S/C install and am surprised that it has lasted >30k mi. I had swapped in the URD stage II but that failed after 2.5k mi. Diagnosed at dealer, truck was stuck on lift, had to get something in there. Installing the Clutchmasters kevlar soon with the new Hydro bearing. Pumped!

    That's slightly worse than the ~15MPG I got before my commute changed from mostly city to mostly highway miles. Now, I'm seeing ~18MPG.

    Someone had issues with the clutch master pressure plate on his install. He ended up using his old URD plate and I'm not sure if it was resolved. Something to look up and be aware of and I don't know if anyone else had this issue. In this thread:

    Try swapping sides with the front O2 sensors. If problem moves to the other bank you know what your problem is.

    Were your fuel trims close to the same for each bank or were they pretty far off from each other?
