So there's this sweet deal of a US truck for sale in Ontario. It's a 2010, frame hasn't been done, but looks good ( pictures, far from me to just go see yet.) Seller says the Toyota frame rust will be honoured here.
Anyone have any knowledge, experience with this ? Reason I want it is cause I can't possibly get this truck in Canada. ( mt, or, dc, sb)

There’s a newer member here that’s in Canada with a US truck that has a frame failure and both Toyota US and Canada are telling him he’s SOL because the frame warranty doesn’t cross the border.

I can’t remember his username but I’ll try and find the thread.

Thanks t4rftmfw. I haven't read through the whole post yet, but I will. But right away I've seen that it's a 2005 so basically past due date, even if it was Canadian.

There’s more to it than that, there’s something about a truck made for the US not covered by warranty in Canada. Pretty sure I’ve read this about new trucks as well.

I may not be remembering correctly but I wouldn’t listen to a seller on this topic. Go straight to corporate.

Much as this is the truck I want, no way I'm going to give up my new framed truck for one that won't have the frame honoured. I'll just add a truetrac to the rear, and have almost what I want, but will be stress free.

Trucks purchased and imported into Canada can be serviced in Canada under frame recall campaign, @NeonHeights had his US truck with drop bracket lift serviced in Toronto and got new frame out of it (truck registered in Canada, but originally purchased in US, he was 3rd owner). Same thing with another member (@Theicemedic), he received reimbursement for leaf pack re-call while studying in Canada but having truck registered in NC(Toyota USA paid to cover expenses in Canada).

How far is the truck from you? May be worth a look anyway. Depending on how it's maintained, it may not need a frame replacement.
