How much lift did you get with the .85 setting?

Same question as Notch here, plus I'm assuming you're still on the stock TRD OR coil springs in the front?

People say 1.5 inches. I don't rub anymore so its its good enough for me. I could definitely tell and feel a difference when I picked it up. I have the TSB on the rear. Now I have a normal amount of rake. Stock coils.

So 1.5" hmm?? I was hoping for like 1". When I did the 5100 set at .85 on my 2016 4 runner I got 1" of lift. Was hoping it would be around the same with my 2015 Tacoma.

Seems the 2nd (.85) groove setting puts these trucks just slightly lower than the 2nd gen TRD Pro & TX Baja which are lifted 1.75" in the front and pretty level. Might even be a little more ideal as from what I can tell any little bit of load you put in the back of their bed causes the rear ends to squat.

I have a SR5 sport. Right now I have about 1-1.25" rake. I do have a 4'x5'x.75 heavy ass rubber mat in the bed. That has to be making it squat a little. That's why I was hoping for just 1" up front. Oh well I'll just install the 5100s @ .85 and see what it looks like. If it has a little cali lean I'll raise the rear up.

Just finished installing the 5100's set at .85 and I'm happy to report it gave me 1" of lift in the front. I'm now level front to back. This is with a 4ft x 5ft x 3/4" thick heavy ass rubber horse stall mat in the bed and the gas tank at 3/4 full. I'll have to get some pics later.

I’m getting ready to have my stock 2005 TRD Sport coils replaced with a brand new 2019 TRD Sport coils that were removed prior to a lift. Also have 5100s and I’m looking forward to being level again since the frame replacement with the added leaf pack.

When you guys installed the stock coils on your 5100s were the coils positioned/clocked with the lower end of the coils facing the rear of the vehicle like the Toyota factory service manual specifies?

None, rode it like that for a year and a half. I am still using the 5100s now but with eibach coils.

    Work in progress.
I'm looking at a similar setup. I'm browsing the toytec website and I can't tell if the Bilstein 5100 kit is the 2.5 eibach coil or a 1.5. do you, or anyone, happen to know the model numbers? Or, a similar site that has the Bilstein kit.

Bringing this thread back :) I'm clearly a newb to this: is it possible to ONLY replace the OEM shocks with Bilstein 5100's (B8?) for all four wheels without replacing anything else (coils / leafs etc)?

Aim: a stiffer ride and lift the front end slightly

Want to avoid: bro lean, any other technical issues with the suspension

    Any thoughts out there?

Yes you can just replace the OEM shocks with Bilsteins. You have no adjustability with the rear (obviously, not a coil spring over the shock) like you do with the front (0", .85", 1.5", 2"). For the fronts, if you adjust it to 0" or the .85" setting you'll still have a great comfortable ride. I started with just Bilsteins on all four corners and had the fronts set to .85" and it rode basically like stock. I've since gone with OME 883's and a AAL and put my front shocks back to the 0". Ride is superb.

Edit: I forgot to add that the .85" will basically level out the front, maybe like still the ever slightest rake.

Basically what @gkomo said. Although I'll add one thing you need to take into account is the condition of your current rear leafs. If they are old/tired your rear might be drooping a noticeable amount to the point that you'll be bro leaning when set to 0.85 (2nd groove) in the front. You may want to take some measurements of the front and rear and report back. That is, on each wheel measure the vertical distance from the center of the wheel hub up to the fender (if unclear see this post for reference: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/hub-to-fender-measurement-on-stock-2016.405255/#post-11350704). Generally speaking, for the stock TRDs there is about a ~2" rake (~20" front / ~22" rear).
