Highest Mileage 3rd Gen

Not sure why people with <100k even bother posting about their mileage. Especially vehicles with less than average mile/year.
To top it off they say they have no issues

 

It looks like the rock sliders took most of the impact when you got T-boned.

97k miles v6 auto no major issues other than the crosswind humming tan I need to get done

 

Get that wind noise fixed in about 20 easy minutes.

Takes 15 min. a side to resolve that annoying wind problem.

 

I didn't know there was an opening bid requirement.

 

68000 trd off road 4x4 only issue was my transfer cases was replace at 15000 miles under warranty just off reading on a fire trail and put it in four earlier in the day no problem later that day would not go in to 4 bent no problems since love the truck

 

Last mileage thread update.

Nice, many owners forget the Tacoma 3.5L has been around quite awhile in other vehicles.

Anyone hit over 300k yet? Want to make the switch to the third gen but not sure if I trust the 3.5L

We know the 1st gen has proved it’s self, I’m at 675,000.

Considering the truck has only had the 3.5L for 6 years, 300k would be seriously impressive. That would be 50k miles per year, at least. I drive A LOT more than the average user and I only average about 28k per year.

 

Going for 1,000,000

The highest 1st Gens I've seen are two friends in CO who went 450k and 650k both MT. I think the 650k is still on the road. The other needed a lot of maintenance, every fluid was leaking, but still ran pretty well.

 

My 2020 has 67.5K on it right now, bought it new in May '20. So far it's been good to me.

 

Time will tell. My 4.0 is at 99k miles and I’m debating either keeping it for another 300k or trading in for a new 3.5L while my resale value is still higher than what I paid 5 years ago.

 

I traded my 2012 for a 17 a few years ago. Never looked back.
