Let’s see em! My auto body guy told me his son in laws 4.0 went out at 100k. I don’t know how believable that is but def possible. I am at 35k just wondering.

I know at least a couple folks here with about 300k going strong. I have 41k myself.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Haven't owned a Toyota pickup or Tacoma yet that went less than 100K. My '06 is at 126K and climbing. My '21 TRD OR AC only has about 10 miles on it 'cuz it's still waiting for the final touches before I take delivery. I'm expecting to easily match the '06 and exceed the '06.

Ask again in about 5 years ...

My ‘19 is at 30K but I expect it to go a whole lot more than that if all my prior Yota’s are any indication.

I remember seeing a post of someone hitting 200k in their taco. Don't know the exact year, but it might be a '16 or' 17. I think the poster only did maintenance items and the truck was still working as intended.

You'll find lot of 16s and 17s over 100k. Over 200k is more rare but they are around.

@mosesofthesouth what is your mileage now? Off memory you were the one I think with 300k+ on a third gen. Sorry if I was incorrect

2017 SR 2.7 oil change every 15k . Only problem was AC clutch had to be replace. Still running the plugs it came with. Trans service at 150k4D6FEA07-0335-45EE-A86C-DB541EAD60C6.jpg

No hate, but a proven engine like the 2.7 doesn't count..

My 2010 2.7 had 389k and just couldn’t hurt it.

Because with synthetics, and highway miles, 15K is probably 5K too soon. This is not 1978 dinosaurs oil.

Many people understand today's tech. Actually most are on board with the 10K OCI and some of us understand that 10K is actually too soon. With proper synthetics and filters 15-20K is, supported by lab results, a proper OCI. I am on 15K OCI on my Tundra with no issues.

I get all the facts. I was genuinely curious about the guy's opinion though. Its rare to see a poster on TW who doesn't change their oil everytime they drive.

You're trying to argue with someone who has no intention of arguing

There's a guy with a 2008 2.7 who has 400k on his current engine and had 800k on his prior one. He only replaced it because the head gasket blew and he didn't want to risk the engine getting screwed up by fixing the head gasket.
