Full tank of gas at minimum.

When I bought mine (used), after the back and forth and finally got to a price and trade value I was happy with I totally forgot about the fill up.

Well after I did the paper work and was saying my goodbyes, the sales manager met me at the door and asked if I could wait and he would have the tank filled.

    Good experience at this dealership.

Tint, gas, floor mats, and hat. Remove the rear headrests? You can do this yourself. Go for the free stuff!

Ha. Good ones. So the rear headrests on the bench seat must have changed since the threads I read here of people struggling to get the panels to pop free so they could get a wrench in there to remove them.
Is low ATF still an ongoing concern?
Will definitely try for a bed mat.
    Thanks,
    Jay

Nothing is free. What ever they decide to make you feel good with, just remember you already paid for it.............

Ask what a 'Toyota care' visit is worth. Then multiply that by the number of visits allowed, and ask for that in cash. And don't darken their door again...........

The headrests are a bit of work to remove in the Access Cab but not the double cab. I doubt the dealer would remove them for liability reasons.

For the ATF they will more than likely tell you that it can't be checked or that they did check it without having done so.

Mainly because of threads like this one here. But it sounds like the design must have changed in subsequent years.

See if you can get them to throw in a oil change at 5,000 miles. Let us know if you can get them to do that.

Also, ask for your dignity back after asking for freebies.

If your sales person seems reasonable (for a salesman, at least), ask for the name of the best service advisor working in the service dept. Without me asking, my sales guy pulled me aside and wrote down the name of a specific service advisor and warned me not to deal with any of the other POS's back there. After a few visits to to service, I can see why he did this - the other advisors have proven to be pretty slimy.

I don't know if ALL Toyotas come with it, but it was even on the STICKER when I bought my 2019 TRD Sport in April that the truck COMES with a FULL tank of gas! And indeed, the dealer took the truck to the gas station a block away once I had signed the papers, and filled it up completely so it was full when I took delivery.

They did that with mine too. And with California gas prices, I smiled a little extra. :D

    ^^ so true.

ask for it all. They want to close the deal....lets not ticky tack the little stuff.

floor mats, wheel locks, tailgate lock, bed mat etc. This is a drop in the bucket at dealer cost.

If youre like the rest of us...buying a new car and this process is a pain in the butt. Youre probably dealing with a sales rep who has no authority in the matter...talk with the manager. But keep in mind you wont get a second chance to get what you want once you drive off the lot. The worse that can happen is they say no. Good luck...youre going to love your new truck.
