    Yes. That is on purpose. OVT develops tunes on the latest ECUs and works backwards. It was also said that the latest TSB tunes are the best baseline for the OV tunes.


    The big tip / warning here is to shut off all of your antivirus software, including malware and ransomware, while you download and install TS. Just like OVT, it will flag up some warnings. Once TS is running, you will probably get a warning or two that you need to allow. After the first go around, there will be no other issues.

    You need to use the crazy Key Gen program techstream-act.exe . It is in the ZIP file that you downloaded unless the antivirus program quarantined it. It is harmless as far as I can tell.

    I played around on there for a little and had fun but couldn't find anything about changing the id from a 12 to a 13... I'll play around on there later but for now I must stop procrastinating and get back to finals week... 2 more finals to go! thank you for your help!

    TS will not instruct you on changes, diagnostics, or customizations. It is a shop tool that generally assumes that you know what you are doing.

    Just follow the steps in the 1st Post here for the ECU Update:

    You have TS running, so you're half of the way there.

    Having trouble with the comp allowing TS and all of its friends in through the front door. Even with security turned off, so clearly I'm missing something. Planning on picking up a cheap lappy (486) for Christmas, and I'll go that route.

    I'm sure he would be delighted

    I am using and am happy with just Window Defender. That said, there are several layers to shut off. Antivirus, ransomware, malware, and a couple other switches. Those will be defaulted to On on a new computer also. ;)
