Got quoted $496.86 for just install. I could buy decent tools for less than half of that, so going to end up doing it myself when I get a free weekend. Shout out to youtube and TW

I'm always a fan of buy the tools and do it yourself! Then you've got the tools for next time and you save money.

What all of you are not including is how you paid. Everyone uses credit which is the wrong way to go about life. Be a conservative grown man, pay cash upfront and be done with it. If you can't do that, you either are in the market too soon or not ready for a lift modification.

Anyone from so cal that knows of a place for decent priced lift install? Got myself a kit the other day. Would do it myself if I had the tools and knowledge. Don’t mind doing it myself with some assistance.

I agree. Totally doable. Take the money you would use to pay a shop and buy the tools. It's fun and you'll learn something.

Otherwise, this might be an option for you:

Amen to that! I kinda did both though. I paid with credit card then paid it in full in a few days. I had the cash but I also get cash back for using the card.

Thanks! Just PMd Jason for a quote. After watching the videos on the front/rear shocks and leaf pack. I can definitely do it. Just gotta figure out the UCAs, CB drop kit, and extended rear brake line.

Ended up getting it installed by @Bot_Chu and couldn’t be any happier with the install! Rides way better than stock IMO.

Which OME kit? Cap-It in Prince George BC will charge $1650 parts (nitrocharger sport shocks, 888 coils, your choice of leafs, ubolts, driveshaft spacer to reduce vibes). Not sure on labour but the local shop has lots of dudes driving Toyotas and I'm sure they'd do a good/efficient job.
