this sounds similar to the issue I had. Did you unpin the controller cable when you ran it through the firewall? I did on my tundra. Everything worked great but would randomly stop working. Then be back. Then stop again. Totally random.

I eventually discovered I had a slight bit of play at the connection to the module. If you press of together, it would work but if you pulled on it, it would slide just a hair and everything would quit working but the switch panel stayed lit.

I got a new cable from switch pros and everything has been solid since.

it was incredibly frustrating to figure out what the problem was.

 

I got voltage detector and with the negative side touched all the ground points to the battery and voltage indicated. I also touched the negative side of the battery to all the positive points to the switch pro and got voltage. I also touched the negative side on the switch pro to all the positive sides and it worked. However when I touch the negative side of the battery to each output on the switch pro nada.

 

Do you have all of those outputs turned on? If they aren't switched on, you won't have power to gnd.

Alright, air your stupidity so we all can learn. What was the issue? lol

 

I really don’t want to haha. However as I was taking the voltmeter to the outputs I realized the switch I had been thinking was switch 2 (top row, second from left) was not producing power with that switch on. However, with that switch still on the output next to it #3 was working fine. Soooo I’m sure everyone can infer what happened. The switches are not 1-4 across the top. ‍

 

Does anyone know why my IGN light is on? It’s been on for awhile now ever since I installed it but it doesn’t affect anything because all my lights are turning on etc... any ideas or issues? Should I worry about my truck catching on fire

It means you have the ignition wire attached to an always-on circuit. What circuit did you use an add-a-fuse or tap on?

If anyone is still having connection issues with android devices check the play store. I had an update a few weeks ago and it is working 100% as intended on my S8 active. Huge improvements in functionality!

 

I definitely haven't had any issues since I got it. I'm currently running an S10 5G with full functionality as well. I'll have to see if I'm running that updated version!

 

Does anyone know within the app had to turn on auto dimming with the headlights. It’s definitely fused correctly but I think I may have switched something in the app itself to disable thAt. Thanks.

 

you can change the brightness but I dont believe you can disable dimming.

 

For those that replaced the main fuse with a breaker, where did you mount the breaker? I have a Powertray and was thinking of mounting it to the support leg but wanted to see if anyone has a better solution.

 

I'm planning to replace the fuse with a circuit breaker soon and ill be mounting it on the top or side of my northstar battery with a very short jumper, probably 6" max. I like any over current protection device to be as close to the battery with as little wiring length as possible as you'll have less unprotected wiring.

 

Does anyone know of a ram ball mount that will work with the switch pro panel? I cant find anything.

 

You'd have to make one. Or get the specs on one like this:

I'm not confirming it'd work, but I presume there would be a combination of standard measurement holes that would fit the SP.
