The ends of the hinge-seals or whatever these are called on my factory tonneau are degrading/melting.

Any idea what it takes to repair or replace these?

    2016 doublecab shortbed.

full disclosure - I don't. But, maybe looking at them from the bottom side will shed some light.
I have the same tonneau. Aerospace 303 has kept mine in good shape. Also a 2016.

I'd say that hot arizona summers and that seam gets used a lot. But mainly the heat and direct sunlight will do that kind of damage.

These get doused in 303 monthly.

    AZ Sunlight is a monster.

For what it's worth, I was more hoping to find a part number than a guide - the things got a bajillion screws and if I remove enough of them it should become clear - but that doesn't do me much good if I can't get reppacement parts.

    Heat and direct sunlight, yes.

I've probably opened the 2nd seam 50 times in the last 3 years, so 'a lot' is definitely not the case.

Maybe gas vapours from a gas can that you store in the bed near the damage??

I have experienced the same issue except that mine have further degraded to the point of cracking the entire length of the seal. Mine is also in Arizona and also received regular 303 treatments. The dealership just quoted $1700 to fix. The cover was a $650 option at time of purchase (2016). I am interested in learning if anyone has found a fix other than replacing with an aftermarket cover.

The dealer said the seals are available as separate parts...I didn't order them yet. Life got in the way.

One of mine is heading in that direction, although currently no where near as bad as the one in the picture. Southeast Louisiana sun, heat, rain, humidity does a number on most anything..
