Do it. I noticed the biggest difference from sound deadening. I have a full sound system and that's what did it for me at least

I dig the catch can. Something I've wanted to do as well. Just because I'm running out of small things to do to my truck

 

I just ordered an Ultragauge, pretty inexpensive for what it is and im excited for all the features

 

This might sound wierd, but deadening the roof would probably be the best. It's just the thin flat sheet metal of the roof behind that thin felt liner.

 

It'll help but not a whole lot of noise comes from up there as the rest of the vehicle blocks the sound waves.

 

Where did you get the bracket for your catch can?

 

All cleaned up and ready for the dance!

Also I finished my tranny flush. (Gender neutral gear shifting device) it took about 12qt to get it to pump fresh fluid out of the return line below the radiator. I added a bottle of lube guard and then checked the fluid level using the AT temp/fluid check process. My truck does not flash the AT light when you put it back in park, but it did illuminate after 20 minutes.

I double checked the fluid temp with my multi meter as it drained out. Overall a very easy process that I highly recommend, given my situation of cooking the old fluid past it’s usable point.

My transmission is back to 95% health. Reverse is back to normal. I still have a little bit of a hard shift into 3rd from time to time. Just glad I didn’t have to do a full rebuild.

Just Incase you are wondering this was not due to normal driving conditions. I pushed my truck was past the edge for a lot longer than I should. Maybe one day I will settle down. LoL

Oh and I must have ripped one of my mud flaps off during my romp in the mud, noticed it was gone after I washed Betty.

 

How often do you empty the oil catch can ?

 

Every oil change is what I do, been running one for 50k miles

 

Leather wrapped steering wheel, added custom emblem. Installed Husky mud flaps.

 

The old steering wheel emblem just pops right off?

 

I pulled the airbag / cover and removed the old one from the back, then installed the new one like in this thread.

Even though they were reconditioned, I gave them a quick rattle can job before they were mounted. Made a TPMS pipe bomb and used regular valve stems.

 

Every oil change (4,000 miles). Average about 1/4 full.
