I found some plastic plugs at Lowe’s that fit perfect when I took off my side steps.

 

I don't think they were that great. I am going to need you to ship me about a dozen for testing and verification purposes.

Yes! Dirt traps moisture which leads to corrosion. Plug 'em.

 

Did the @MESO interior chrome delete today. His video makes it pretty easy. Took me several tries to get the one for the start button to snap in flush. That’s the only frustration I had with the whole thing. Also put on the start button decal but I’m not convinced I’ll keep it yet.

This what I tow behind my 2017 Taco. Pulls like a dream. Especially after installing an RMAS kit.

 

How long did the install take you? Did you disconnect the battery?

 

Swapped out my diff oil after 500mi gear break in and installed MESO chrome delete kit.

 

Over the last couple of days removed ALL my wiring for my dual batteries. I was having issues with my starter battery not charging , keeping charged, being drained, etc. Anyway, I had the Offgrid engineering with the Blue Sea isolator and it seems due to our smart alternators that is where my issue was. I have spent days reading and searching info. I also read thru this whole thread, lots of great info..................

I am replacing the system with a CTEK DC-DC and mounting my second battery in the bed. I am going to plan everything out and take my time with the install. Replaced my starting battery with one of my new Northstar batteries............

 

LOL.. Yeah i could've googled it too, but i was still half way sleep and thought i remember it, but got it wrong..

 

Nice when Tacos used to come with metal rear bumpers.. Not anymore..
