New headlights came out nicely.. Grille was a piece of shit and broke most of the rivets to subsequently replace with zipties lmao. Can anyone give me insight on if there's anyway to adjust the gap on top of the headlight? For some reason driver's side came out good but passenger was like slanted and I had to smack it a couple times for the headlight to sit flush like it is now. But now I notice more of a gap at the top.. on the driver's side I tightened the bolt towards the inner part first, but passenger side I did the 2 bolts on the side first. Does that even matter?

If I can't do much it's fine, I'm not ocd as u can tell it took a few days to even notice it lmao

I haven't messed with my headlights so I dunno...but if you have to take the grill off to fix it then I'd just leave it until next time you're in that far.

yeah this was a first for me, my old dodge was MUCH easier to do the headlights on. Had to remove the grille and then the actual headlight casing was off compared to the other side until I smacked it like I said. probs my fault lolol

I have my axle shafts pulled to reinstall my diff and noticed this. Normal? I wouldn't think so. The are compressed by the flange on the axle when installed, but I doubt that's enough to keep the outer race from rotating. I'm debating pulling them and using bearing retainer. Thoughts?

yea it's happened the two times I started it today. so i'm hoping to track it down. It's a weird kind of whine though. Almost like a supercharger, but only really under like 3k rpm.

It has been two years since the last time I repainted my headlight fillers. I had the grill off for the timing belt/radiator job last weekend and these things are trashed again. I'm going to take @Madjik_Man's advice and try the Sherwin-Williams two-part clear this time AND cover it with 3M protective film. I'll post another pic when I've finished the job.

Do you have pics of how you mounted the orbital? And did you have to do any steering shaft mods/buy a new one?

Probably in my build thread somewhere... I did this year's ago...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/erics-supercharged-shit-box.195730/

My orbital is mounted where the typical steering box goes on the driver frame. I did require new joints and a steering shaft.

That's not good. You could peen the inside of the sleave with a punch and add retaining compound to the outer race when you reinstall if you're trying to save some money.
