    How did that 35 fit?

For my next electrical project, going to go with the other alternator

    opinion?

On the fence with ADD. I like the idea of not having to get out of the vehicle (yep, laziness) and more importantly its not done often. At least not well documented here on TW. The challenge is appealing. Still... have to decide.

theres more wiring. but in the end it is a slightly stronger setup. you might be better off finding a donor 4x4 engine harness to cover the wiring on the outside...

I have been watching specifically for a dead 02 in my area. Figured it would be a no brainer at that point - everything I would need but no luck so far.

if your going to do the swap find a j shift ADD truck... then you dont have the damn actuator on the transfercase to worry about failing (my game plan with my 01 is to get rid of the push button but keep ADD

I kind of wanted the push button. How often do they fail?

on the 1st gens not too common. but its an issue as they age. j shift works fine.. hubs still lock and all.. just no actuator on the transfercase to go to 4x4. instead you shift it over... you also gain 2l

Exactly why I tagged him when I saw it; my axles are in worse shape but at least the spindles are in great shape.

He can use the axles supplied and not have to mess with swapping the hubs/etc. into his current spindles.
