    What type of hose are you guys using with water cooled turbos? Is silicone vacuum hose safe to use?

    Edit: Looks like reinforced silicone is the way to go.

    I just used 5/16" coolant line from Napa.

    Braided AN lines would be choice, just cost more with all the little fittings to buy.

    After pulling things apart, my conclusion is that the pcv/ccv lines froze, which in turn blocked the oil returning to the pan and pushed copious amounts of oil through the turbo. The reason the lines froze is because I haven't emptied the catch can in months due to the valve handle disappearing. Lesson learned.

    I'm not too fond of the smell of the crank so I have mine recirculated before the turbo.
