    The Build...

Purchased January 11th, 2019 from a used Acura Dealership of all things.
2012 Tacoma TRD Off-Road 6-Speed MT with 80k highway miles. (See highway terrains for proof lol)
    Stock

    As of January 7th, 2020
    (Sorry for the sideways pic)

How I got into Tacoma's was kind of an accident because like any other 16yr old I wanted a WRX really bad but after a firm talking to I was told that my mom would help me pay for my first car/truck as long as it was a truck. So from that point on my whole life has revolved around trucks and Off-Roading. Now I am very grateful for what I got into and wouldn't change it for anything.

My first rig was a 2000 Tacoma SR5 2WD we got with 18k miles for 9k back in 2017.

After a couple years of owning that truck, it turned into kind of a whole collaboration of teenage truck mods...

I loved that truck and learned that you can get pretty far with only a 4cyl RWD truck and a lead foot lol. We still have that truck and I intend on buying it back from my mom when I have a fund to do so. The plan is to turn it into a LS powered pre-runner truck.

The build has been very very budget-friendly and most of my gear, for the most part, has been bought used because as stated, I am a broke college kid lol. I worked real hard to get the truck to this point working at multiple places. I got into this hobby really young and realized that this hobby is a lot more expensive than most of the hobbies kids my age are into. But its what I love and don't have many bills to pay at the moment so I'm taking advantage of this as much as possible while keeping an emergency supply just in case.

Thanks for taking a look at the build!

January 6th, got the old black rattle can paint job off the grille and paint matched it. Turned out really nice for an at-home paint job.

It’s not that bad. I was more nervous cutting up my fenders and flares. You just gotta work yourself up drill some holes for hood struts, CMC, cut a fist size hole and drill 7-8 holes for the snorkel, next thing you know you taking a jig saw and cutting 2” of sheet metal outta your fenders easy peasy:eek::rofl:

Nice truck by the way, I’ll probably see it when I’m working up that way.

Other than the $ the only thing holding me back is cutting that hole... It would just hurt the soul. But if I picked up some fiberglass fenders I'd wouldn't have any problems cutting into those.

It’s a pretty decent sized hole.
