And soon going to need to find where to put a rear air locker switch, or figure out if I can re-purpose the factory elocker switch to trigger an ARB solenoid.

When I installed my “in bumper” lights I tied them into the high beams. (and a switch) I’ll do some looking at my notes and see what I can get you for a wiring diagram.

If you tap the signal to the high relay to send a signal to the relay for the lights you should work.. out a switch inline to that and you can make it so they can be turned off for regular high beam use age

^This^ is how I set mine up... I can run them with the high beams, and they turn off with the low beams. Or they can be turned on with the headlights off.

Yeah buddy! I'm overlanding in comfort with my heated seat, and I don't even have to open my hood to air up.

Must be rough living with only 3 switches.

I think these are the diagrams that I used... (it’s been a while)
Remember to use the appropriate size fuse for you lights, not the theoretical amperage fuse From the diagrams. I’ve had no problems in the last 4-1/2 years. TW and TTORA, along with some of the Jeep forum's have good writeup’s if you google it.

Basically you want your high beam switch to trigger a relay to minimize the draw, and keep the higher amperage isolated from your headlights. I’m pretty sure I tapped into mine in the dash under the steering wheel.

Chicago guy said the FF won't wash off like the other product i was trying seemed to in these particular areas with heavy rain a few weeks ago

If you already have the SG, I'm not sure it makes sense to switch to the UG. But starting with a clean slate, the UG is cheaper, displays a up to twice as many gauges, and (most importantly IMO) can be set up with audible alarms if/when things go wrong (e.g. a burst coolant hose).

I think the big drawback to the scangauge is the customer support. I've heard there is none.

Edit, I switched them. Scangauge is supposed to have good support, ultagauge is supposed to not have good support.

Be careful with some of those diagrams, they are not all the same.

The green one is mostly correct, but it assumes that you have a relay that does not have an 87a terminal in the middle. Just connect both lights to the 87 terminal.

The thing to keep in mind with 1st gen tacoma headlights is that they are ground triggered. You always have a 12v+ signal at the headlights, the high beam trigger that people keep referring to actually gets connected to ground through the headlights switch. If you have dual filament (H4) stock headlights and tap into this circuit, you will actually send power through the low beam circuit as well. This is due to the fact that the high beam indicator on the dash works through the low beam filament (confused yet?).

The best way to trigger aux lights from the stock high beam is to ground trigger your relay for the aux lights. This ground wire from the aux light relay just needs to tap into that high beam wire (which is only connected to ground when the high beam stalk is activated).

I think it's biggest drawback is it's ugly 90's block of plastic look. For the price I'd expect something better looking. I've had pagers that looked more tech.
