Might be a stupid question as I'm a n00b when it comes to this stuff... so I apologize if that's the case.

I'm installing a subwoofer, a light bar (eventually a 2nd one), and bed lights soon. All 3 of which need to go directly to the positive terminal on my battery. Is that ok? How do I connect all 3 to the terminal? Do they just 'stack' one on top of the other?

    Note:
Only the sub will be used often (if that matters?)

Yup you can do that. Just make sure they have in-line fuses at the very least. If the terminal gets too cluttered you can either relocate individual circuits to the fuse box and use a spare fuse or I think they make like extensions for the battery terminals to have multiple connections

No problem. Those three things should be fairly simple to install and wire up. Most kits come with everything you need. Just make sure you tuck wires and make tight connections/splices/terminations. Loose connections can also cause wires and equipment to fry.

I would go this route personally OP. Satisfies the requirement for an inline fuse and just generally looks nicer. Powertray makes a mounting tray you can get.

Not a fan of the exposed +12V terminal from the battery. Is the connection to the battery fused or direct?

No its not a fused connection. The connections from the terminal are fused. They can be capped with plastic caps but i dont see the point.
