Just a heads up for anyone looking at Morel Tempo Ultra 692 Components, they DO fit 3rd gens (Crutchfeild says they don't). Just barely though lol. I will be creating an audio build thread soon if you guys are interested. 2nd picture shows just how close the rear of the speaker is to the window.

You know that magnet moves back and forth some with a good bass drop, right? Crutchfield usually knows what they are talking about.

You sure? I was pretty positive that part doesn't move, I could be wrong though.

I think it does move but not positive. Great looking speakers though. Bet those things have some power

The electromagnet attached to the cone moves, but the permanent magnet on the back is bolted on. It's not going anywhere.

I wish I would’ve gotten those. I have the ultra tempo 602’s. I hear those put out a ton of mid bass!

Should be hooked up tomorrow, I'll let you know how they sound! I'm only running 70W to each speaker though :(

We run them in the front doors on my wife's '17, along with Morel 6.5 coaxs in the rear doors. Fronts are crossed-over at 80Hz. The midbass is incredible.

Nice! What amp are you running? I'm running the JL RD900/5 and they sound amazing (6.5 Tempo Integras in the back as well). You don't realize how loud they are until you turn the music down since the tweeters aren't insanely bright like some other brands. But yeah they do produce some crazy midbass.

We're running an AudioControl D-6.1200 with channels 5 and 6 bridged into a Kicker CompRT box with 10" sub. It could definitely use more bass, but overall the sound is loud and incredibly accurate.

Yep. Made the trip there from Houston back at the beginning of January. After looking at most of the local shops, I just didn't trust them to do an install of comparably quality to 5 Star.

There are a few people on here running the Morel 692 ultra comps. Everything I have heard is super positive, probably THE component set to get without going all out crazy. I am thinking of running just these in the fronts, turn off the rears and run the JL dsp amp 5 channel-4 channels bridged with 1 ch towards JL stealth box.

Yup I've only read positive things, and I can vouch for it. I really want to see how the fronts sound bridged but I'm afraid it'll be too good and I'll have to buy another amp for the rears lol. I'm still really happy with the 692s in the front and 602s in the rear at 75W per speaker. I will also be ordering the stealthbox here shortly.

Believe it or not, I want more power. We're running front components and rear coaxs at 125W/ch, currently (rear fill is turned way down). I think we'll add an LC-1.800 and an additional 10" Kicker, then run channels 1/2 and 3/4 on the D-6.1200 active to front mids and tweeters, and channels 5/6 to the rear coaxs.

Wow, nice! Will you be going back to 5star to get the work done? I’m thinking about going active on the front stage. I got the same amp and I’ll be tuning it myself using REW. Currently I’m rebuilding my system and running new wires throughout. I just finished the front doors

Is that a focal elite power K series? I’d love to see how you get these installed as I’m very close to pulling the trigger on a set of kx2 matched up with the focal 3” pod and or an Audiofrog gb10 for oem dash location and focal elite power K coax but I am still trying to figure out more info on it
