Are you sure it won't clear? The strut angles slightly up from the inner fender bracket, like shown below in green. It's hard to tell from this view, but it seems like the battery top is already below the rear bracket, in which case you'll be fine without moving anything. Put a strut on the fender bracket and try it out, before going through the hassle of relocating the battery

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Ya, I had the struts on and it hit the battery before the hood latches.

Here are better (more recent... much dirtier) pics.20200115_210832.jpg 20200115_210848.jpg

OK, that makes sense - that'll have to move slightly to make room for the struts :).

Ya, it's not a big deal. And I knew it was potentially going to happen. I'll get it sorted this weekend. Once the battery is figured, all I have to do is snap the struts back on.

Yep. PapaDave was polite. I was annoyed and said something...even though it wasn’t originally stated towards myself. But ignorant people need to be called out from time to time.
I’m sure the dude would love to start talking crap about me living in California as well...but I’ve also lived in Kansas, Ohio, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. If I’m some idiot Californian, I’m also an idiot from those other states. Would that “explain” anything to him as well?
    I have difficulty tolerating idiots.

Thanks guys, bugged me he’s asking for rack suggestions and insulting peoples’ builds and assuming he alone knows how to use a truck while on my thread. What I really wanted to tell him was that he could’ve gotten a Tacoma off-road and saved the $12,000 that the pro costs and be able to get way better suspension wheels sliders, maybe even skid plates vs the extra cost of a Tacoma pro. Not hating against any pro owners, but you can get so much for the $12,000 bump that they cost.

I’m sure that guy is crushing Walmart’s parking lot like a bada$$

Wait until you start a thread about the PullKitchen. I’m sure that he’ll have some great ideas for you.
Can you pull it apart so that you can fit a big item in the back of the truck, for the ways that trucks really need to be used? It will need to be modular, you know. Because real men need to spend time in their real trucks doing real truck things, not being metro Tony Stark type “men”. And the PK needs to be super-lightweight so that you can lift it with a finger because we can’t set up this Tony Stark crap in our driveways. Much less the cost of the Tony Stark stuff...which he could have had built for him for the price of the TRD Pro upgrade.
I honestly wondered if it was satire because it was almost too over-the-top.

    Color feedback, look cool?

This isn’t a complete representation of the options, but just modeling out some options, and you guys are my first focus group. Could also do yellow, black, dark blue, and for an extra cost mirror, brushed aluminum and brushed copper

looks good! if I were to order one, it would be black or gray in that last picture but that blue is nice. Do you have a rough estimate on weight of one of these drawer systems?

I wanted to buy/build something similar but since the truck is already so much over weight, I think I need to put it on a diet before I add anything else "permanent"
