these figures are all out of wack because im pretty sure that eibach markets the kit with a 14" spring with a higher spring rate, and the Tacoma has a 13" factory spring. Right there with the 14" youre fucking with pre-load calculations compared to factory.

lmfao, whatever you say clown. Honk honk.

LOL if springs give lift, why dont they just sell 16" springs and call it a day?

I literally cant wait to see your answer to this.

Interesting, I must’ve been really lucky then. My 2002 (avatar) had the same set up with an AAL in back and I never had to replace any of the shocks in it’s 275K life. It was my work truck as well as my DD, and as I worked as a field biologist, it was driven offroad in the field a lot.

So anyway, I hope OP ends up with a good set up, if he’s planning on putting any weight in the front like a winch and plate bumper, definitely change out the coils as has been recommended here, but seriously - those shocks are not bad at all.

Edit: I’ve been talking about a 1.5 inch lift on the 4th notch, and never had to worry about the UCA’s, alignment being out of spec, and all that. If going much higher and certainly more than 2 inches, I would definitely look into how the rest of the suspension is being affected by the lift.

    Orange_black:
-get upper control arms that have "High Caster" settings.
-to reduce alignment tech error (especially at chain stores) set the caster as high as you can before you install them, sometimes alignment techs dont know how to make them work.
-Bring a nice, easy to read sheet of paper that has your NEW suspension lift over stock, your new wheel size/offset/backspace/ your new tire size and then one with your factory suspension height, wheel size/offset/backspace and tire size.
    Factory TRD-offroad wheel/tire:
    16x7
    +25mm offset
    265/70R/16 Tire

These will all be factors in getting it done right. Also clarify with the alignment tech that they Do "CUSTOM" alignments, because you arent looking for an alignment to factory spec (because your wheels/suspension are no longer factory) rather you need a new and correct alignment.
-google any performance tuning shops or off-road tuners in your area for better chance of success
-alignments do cost money$$ so you want to get it done with as little repeats as possible, but bear in mind this is a process now.
-ask for a print-out of the figures.

anyone with a lift should do this. It will cut-out a great deal of guess work when troubleshooting is necessary.

As helpful as you think you are being you are just frothing at the mouth with your Internet balls and just being an ass.
As we see by your past posts it is just more of the same so just do everyone here a favor and piss off to another forum.

The specific details of my rig / experience aside from it took me three alignments to get it right. I wish I had researched more BEFORE I purchased anything. It's all good now.

I'm very unfamiliar with this lift, but I know my icons specifically state that they require a minimum of 2 inches of travel come where it sits compared to full droop. I'm just over 2.5 on both sides.

Bilstein has a good rep, but not for going on the 5th clip.

why do posters like you even exist? you call ME a douchebag then play victim. Cruxx didnt respond to anyone but me in this thread so who else could you have been talking to?.

And Im going no where. This place needs people like me, whether you like me or not. I actually care if random people on the internet break their truck or not. you see I have owned many different cars over the years and been on many different "enthusiast" forums, and there are always those one random posts, in some random thread on some random night of the week that totally change everything you think and help you avoid making a crisis decision on your vehicle.

many people have helped me, and now I give back. you might not like to hear what I say, but its all GOOD, altruistic non-negotiable fact.

It’s your delivery that sucks. I’m sure you are loathed on all those other “enthusiast” forums as well. Work on it buddy boy.

I didn’t mention this before, but I’m actually running the stock coil springs on mine. But then I don’t have extra weight in front so it’s been doing really well for me with this set up, both on and offroad.

Seems like if you're after a full 3" lift it's probably better to just go with stiffer coils up front instead of having to preload the crap out of soft coils right?

the stock spring is a full INCH shorter than the eibach spring. that alone is enough to account for 50% of the problems OP had and why your experience has been different to date
