Be prepared, they are higher than giraffe stuff...

Yeah after they fall apart , buy these and you will be happy. You get what you pay for, these will last longer than a week. I have had them in vehicles for years and they are great!

I don't even know what that means, but my intention was to lighten up the stupid dark interior that Toyota only offers. I hated the dang thing even before I bought the truck, but dang, the outside looked so dang good, that I had to have one! Still, the interior has just been something I have not been able to get used to, especially the black plastic door covers. Yet, I didn't want slippery hot and cold leather seats, although I did like the way they look. I wanted a fabric seat cover, but one that did not look cheap, but like they were the actual original seats. That is what I got with Cover King. These things fit like a glove, and do not slip, etc, when getting in and out of the truck. And despite many people saying so, they were not hard at all to install. I had the front and back done in less than an hour. The part that took the most time, and again, it wasn't hard or long, but that was the right rear seat cover, as that is the one where you have to unbolt the seat belt from under the seat, and run it though the new seat cover, as explained in their installation videos. But honestly, the seat covers were really easy to install, and I like the way they look! And hey, although I don't exactly understand what you meant by the 1980 comment, hey, the 80s weren't that bad!

I have the cover king neoprene seat covers also, I like the way they fit, and the way they feel, they have a bit of an extra cushiony texture to them. I'm really hard on them because my velcro inner duty belt often ends us rubbing on them, but at the end of the day their only real job is to protect the actual seat and they do that well. I imagine I'll need to replace them sooner than later due to the velcro friction, but it's money well spent.

I went with CoverKing CR grade neoprene seat covers ($180 on sale). They were super durable on my last truck.

Gtcovers.com out of Colorado makes good seat covers. I have black seat covers [backpack] material. They hold up well.

Of course the air bags work with the covers. For one thing, they say that in the description on the website. Also, they would obviously be legally liable if they sold the product and it inhibited the airbag use. Finally, as one who has installed the Cover Kings, I can tell you that there are cutouts or flaps and they are labeled "Side AirBag". They will clearly allow function of the side airbags in the event of an accident that triggers the side airbags.

Yeas, they are. The CR Grade Neoprene is. I have a set. They are very nice and fit extremely well.

Cover King also makes “Neosupreme” covers that are not true neoprene, but are a cheaper alternative. I can’t speak to the quality of those, however.

I have the neosupreme and so far so good (6months only so far). One complaint I do have I forgot to mention is dog hair... my german shepherd hair is a pain to get out sometimes. But I do put a sheet down so his dirty feet doesnt print up the covers. Helps with the hair also. And yes they are designed for the side airbags...

I had bartact in my Jeep and went with them for the Tacoma as well.

I use them primarily to protect the fabric from my dogs- it's not like they'll chew on them, but the slobber and mud would do a number on stock seats.

In the Jeep, it was generally easy to install/remove the bartacts, which is good because of the need to wash them. The Tacoma covers are more fiddly to install and remove, but still work well.

I'm considering removing the rear seat entirely and putting in a platform for more canine room, and possibly going to leatherseats.com for front covers at that time.

I've got the Coverking "tactical" model with the MOLLE back.
    https://www.coverking.com/seat-cove...ers/tactical-ballistic-custom-seat-cover.html
They also came with a few bags and stuff to attach to the backs. I guess I've been "sliding" in and out of the truck too much, as the seams on the drivers seat are all beginning to fray and pull apart. Had them just a tad over a year. Rather it be the seat covers falling apart than my actual seat. Might go with the Carhartt ones if(when) these finally fall apart.

damn! for about $600 bucks, 1 yr. is way too fast to have them start coming apart.
