Damn, you know how to disarm someone. Wish I had that skill. I always come across as an asshole because I'm too blunt and brash. Especially in text I always have an extremely hard time conversing. I rely a lot on body language and facial expression.

My 2015 off road. Swapped most off-road parts to pro parts with the exception of the suspension. Been thinking of going with a set of wheels from Scs but still like the look of the pro wheels on the older truck.

How old are you? It's like you came here for an imaginary argument in your head and everyone else is acting like adults and discussing it with you.

Are you just looking for reasons you deem valid? I can give you a ton of guesses why people do this. Some people don't think things through on options when purchasing, some decide later that they like a certain look but don't want to go through the process of selling/purchasing again, some couldn't make up there mind, some didn't budget for it but have the funds later aka paycheck to paycheck people.

Why are you bordering on negative feelings about this topic?

I've heard them all. A subs a lot like vegas. Except with a lot more weirdly "serious" conversations on the most effective way to take out everyone on the boat. It was a strange place.

Has any DCSB Quicksand Off-Road owner cloned a TRD Pro exterior and suspension EXACTLY?

Factory Pro Fox suspension, Pro wheels, TRD skid plate, door emblems, scooped hood w/decal, Rigid LED fog lights, etc. I would love to see what a stock, unmodified Pro would look like if the Toyota offered it in Quicksand from the factory.

This might be of interest, I can't say how stock it is though.

I did see that thread but it has larger tires, the hood decal is off, etc.

I don’t think there is any widespread attempt here to clone a TRD Pro. Many have made concerted efforts to avoid the appearance of cloning. For example, many Tacoma owners have applied “TRD Off Road,” “TRD Sport,” and “TRD Bro” badges rather than placing “TRD Pro” badges on non-TRD Pro trims. In the rare instances I’ve seen of owners adding “TRD Pro” badges to a non-TRD Pro trim, I’m not a fan, but to each his/her own.

From my vantage point, TRD Pro accessories are merely OEM appearance and mechanical parts upgrades offered/marketed by Toyota to be fitted on other trim levels. By scrolling the thread, you’ll find the most common TRD Pro modifications include shift knob, grille, wheels and skid plate, followed by lesser instances of intake, exhaust, shocks. Toyota has offered Tacoma owners the flexibility to buy a non-TRD Pro and add some or all TRD Pro accessories to his/her liking. I don’t think there is fault with Toyota for providing this availability or with non-TRD Pro owners for indulging.

Toyota doesn’t care, they make money either way if you buy it on the front or back end, that’s what they care about.

I think my only issue with it is if someone tries to sell a version as another version.

I haven't quite decided which route I'm going to go, but I have to admit the original white Pro is a major inspiration. I'm not going to do door badges just because I don't care for them. I'm just undecided at taking the Sport side graphic off.
