i had the same thing happen to me as well one time. what i did was CAREFULLY scraped the green film off the TINY leads to the pads. i was able to get just enough scrapped away to get solder to stick to it. i then cut a very fine gauge wire. w/ all that i was able to get a connection between the tiny leads, the wire and the solder.

hopefully that makes sense..if you need more clarification, pm me.

superglue will melt when you try to solder it....plus, he needs a connection to the tiny fingers in order to complete the circuit.

nah I meant jump power from elsewhere to the LEDs and then tack them to the board with glue.

I tried jumpin power from another light, but I think the wire was too big. I'll try to find some smaller wire

You're absolutely right. I took an old computer PC board and practiced my ass off FIRST. the mod went flawless. Tip: Use a small tip, keep it clean, and take your time. The results are killer and you can say "I did it myself". BTW My brother was a Marine, You guys are the real deal! My hat goes off to you.

[IMG] Mine went great! I just did my cup holders too.
Single cup holder, double cup holder in front of the shifter, and the little tray behind the shifter. all in Indigo.
Oh and the CD slots in the radio with the buttons rock.

this only works for the dash. Everything else will still be orange./ Stereo (if you have a stock one) AC controls. If you think the gauge cluster is bad i herd the stereo is worse.
