What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Mounted the brand new Zamp Obsidian 100W solar panel. I still need to get a solar controller and install it.

Also improved sound deadening rear wall since I took out cubbies.

Then added another layer of noise deadening material

 

My tires stick out past the factory flares about an inch. The picture I posted they could have mounted some seriously wider tires on it. The back of the wheels were almost flush with the brake drums.

 

How many cans of foam did that take?

 

just one of the smaller, large gap foam cans. Actually probably only used 2/3rds of the can.

 

I noticed on my just bought 2020 Access cab that it did sound noisy on the back wall of my access cab. How did this work out?? A Little?? A Lot ?? Huge Difference ??

Don't be surprised if they didn't even change the oil, The "Trust" in dealerships for me is gone!!!, I am an older guy & have purchased many vehicles in my life, the small dealerships used to provide very good service, they wanted return customers & now they are owned by conglomerates, so they could care less if you are a return customer, after all they own them all. The biggest problem I have had is the "Bait & Switch" which is alive and well in the auto industry, & Toyota is no exception. jmop

Finally got rid of the dirty scratched up rock protector pieces. Cheap and easy way to clean up the sides of my truck!

 

I used to get Pissed ... Now I try to turn it around. "IF" the dealer is OK - I'd go back inside, get the manager and review the issues. Get my issues Fixed. Then I'd say I'd expect to compensated for my time with a discount on my next service. IT get's fixed, The manager knows, you get a break on next service and perhaps others will benefit for your effort. I'm not saying you trash the guy, tech. dealer, just try to get your - and possibly others, service better.

When I did mine it made a noticable difference forsure

 

Finally had the time and weather to wash it after 3 months. Also made the decision to ditch the red shackle, carbon wrapped gas panel, bed side decals etc and go all satin black, and do the shackle white. Going for a storm trooper look I guess.

 

It is one of the biggest adjustments I have had with these trucks. The older 4wd's were easier to lift and fit bigger tires. There is so many modifications to do to one of these just to get a 35 to fit. The other is how much the bigger tires effect performance. The Jeep I pictured previously performed pretty damn good even with the 36's and a 4cyl but also came geared better from the factory. I love my Tacoma I just kinda wish it were more easily adapted but I understad I am older and just used to other things.

 

Put a new clutch in the Sherpa while the Taco stared at me wondering why I wasn’t paying attention to it.

 

Looking fresh must been a lot of fun sir
