No, it's not a joke. This forum doesn't just make fun of Ridgelines for fun, it has an actual policy of banning any current/former Ridgeline owners. We then use their IP address to find and repossess their Tacoma, and salt the ground under which any Ridgelines may have parked.

Also, thinking of getting a bestop supertop for my tacoma. I would build a platform, drawers with this set up. Thoughts on a softop vs. hard top for this?

@jalbert95 I know this from past experience as well, there is really no getting around the soft tops having some spots where they leak.

    Sadly, not much.
Very simple setup: 1 inch metal frame, wooden drawers with removable partitions, plywood covered in outdoor carpet bolted to frame. Can run with only half if needed, just remove 2 bolts in middle. Has held up well, bought second hand for $200 USD from a nice Canadian.

    Sadly, not much.
No sliders, just elbow grease. When they are full, it takes a bit of effort.

I went with a sliding rear shelf to maximize headroom/quarters and use cargo boxes to store stuff up on the roof.

They are Plano brand and yeah they do well to keep out water when it rains but they aren't totally watertight- like you can't submerge them in water.
