I should be getting my new '11 Mag Grey DC TRD OR in the next couple days and I had a couple of quick questions.

I am going to order a set of Icon Coilovers. I am thinking non-res since I dont think I will not be doing too much long distance stuff to worry about shock fade.

I have read the many polls and posts and I think that Icon will give me the least amount of headache since they are designed in unison. A comfortable ride both on and off road is really a priority for me, but I am sure that a lot of people strive for that.

^^ I want to start by leveling the front via coilover. It will give me the parts I need to build up to a full icon kit. (I would like to just go all out with a stage 4 kit, but dont have a bunch of dough to spend right this minute after buying truck.)

Getting a set of konig countersteers 16X8 in grey and just going to mount stock tires on them for now then bump up to bigger BFGs once I save up for the UCAs and the rear suspension stuff to complete the lift.

    Questions -

    1) Is there anything I am really missing on this first go around, that I am not considering?

    2) If remote reservoirs end up being something I need can I just add a reservoir to the coilover...I thought I read somewhere you could do that...

    3) Where is the best place to purchase Icon gear?

    Thanks for the input

Icons are a great way to go. Depending on the amount of lift you set them at, you may also want to do aftermarket UCAs as well.
To add the Resi's you have to send them into ICON to have them installed.

Offroad Warehouse (google) has the best prices I found anywhere on Icon kits.

That said, if you get in touch with Demello OR, they may make you a damn good deal too, especially if you're interested in any of their other armor.

    Shop around.

Also one question I had that may or may not be related. Is there a reason that alot of the sites that carry stuff for tacomas will bracket the model years 05-09? I know that 05 was the first year of 2nd gen. Other sites will say 05+..

I thought I saw something somewhere about VSC and the post 09 models.

Anything I have to worry about when I'm shoppin around.

    Thanks!!!

Depending on what you are going to do with the truck will make a big difference in what you do first. On a limited budget IMO I would keep the stock wheels they look good IMO and instead spend the same money on some after market tires once you do a lift to the front end.

Resivors for the coil overs and UCA are all things that can wait and can be added later.

If ride is important then keep it simple with front coil-overs a rear 3 leaf pack and run the stock shocks or Bilistiens for now, unless you can afford the Icon rear shocks.

If your going to be taking it off road a simple pair of sliders and or a set of tires would be the next thing I would purchase. Tires because, lets face it the stock tires are very limited off road and sliders if you plan to go off road to protect your new investment.

We do match any ones price on parts and will work an even better deal with multiple purchases.

BTW nice truck, you will love it!

I was looking at the sliders from the site (Demello) and I noticed a large difference in price between the welded and bolt on units. Is there a reason for this aside from a bit more work fabricating the sliders to use bolts.

639 for BO and 389 for weld

    just checkin.

Our bolt-on's use all grade 8 hardware and actually bolt to the frame using a lot of stock holes. Our sliders also come fully welded ready to bolt on. But we also offer a DIY slider like many other manufactures where you can weld on the legs your self and save some money. That being said we also have our sliders on GB price right now. Jason, did you decide what you were going to send for the event?
